A great backpacking meal
This is my girlfriends go to backpacking meal. A very solid contender of our favorites of all the different brands and their meals. Lots of flavor and pretty filling. Sometimes its a little more than she can eat and I'm always happy to get a bite or two as well.

Strange tomato flavor
The only peak meal we've not enjoyed. Odd tomato flavor totally overpowered it, it tasted nothing like Chicken or Teriyaki. Very surprised as I've been really pleased with Peak overall, but this one definitely needs an overhaul.

This one is not for me

I typically prefer Peak Refuel but I just don’t care for this flavor. It doesn’t really taste like teriyaki.

A true backcountry Slapper

This meal is very tasty, I'm a picky eater and I really genuinely enjoyed it. It's my first peak refuel meal I've ever had and will probably be a staple for future trips. The texture was pretty good and it rehydrated well. I will be purchasing more peak refuel meals in the future.

Best meal I've had while camping

Absolutely delicious. This is no joke, I would eat this as an at-home meal. So good. I prefer this brand over the other brands in general, but this recipe is ELITE! DO NOT pass this one up. Serving size is huge, I tried to finish it myself, even though I was hungry and loved the taste I still couldn't finish it all. Cooked to perfection with the instructions listed. This is not an endorsed review - just an honest opinion!

Didn’t work for me

This tasted fine, but it gave me really bad gas and food poisoning for 2 days. The best by date had not passed. This has permanently put me off freeze dried meals. I bought mine from the Tacoma REI

Very tasty!

Very tasty, easy to prepare, enough for two if you’re not big eaters. My son could eat one by himself. It was not soupy like some made with noodles can get. Will definitely buy again!

Really tasty.

This was super simple to make & very tasty. The cost is the only prohibitive factor but I’m only eating it every once in awhile so it’s negligible. All in all a very solid product.

Tasty Dinner

It was quite tasty and flavorful and cooked up well. I would definitely get again. Was a nice treat on the trail and felt like great quality without being overly salty.
