Great downhill binding with uphill abilities
Great bindings for those like me who primarily ski inbounds but like the option to go uphill from time to time. In downhill mode they feel incredibly secure and release like a downhill binding. Uphill they transition pretty easily once you know what you're doing. My only criticisms are that in uphill mode, I wish they had one more heel riser for steep terrain. Only having one is kind of annoying. The other criticism is that sometimes the heel piece can get filled with compacted snow making it impossible to step back into your binding, especially if you come off in powder. Other than that, these bindings have been great for both inbounds and uphill travel. I don't really want to own a ton of skis so having a quiver of one makes life easy.
Not quite ready for prime time.
I had two issues with these bindings; the brake managed to pop out of the connecting pins and the the toe piece would not stay in the locked position while in walk mode. I've heard the toe issue may be related to this being the lower DIN version? Not sure but as good a concept as these bindings are, they did not work for me.
Everything it claimed to be!
I wanted a binding that I could use primarily on resort but was extremely capable for weekends in the backcountry. Since covid has limited ski resorts capacity I’ve switched to mainly backcountry skiing and this binding although slightly heavier, has absolutely been worth the reliability.
Brilliant!
23/24 will be my second season with these bindings. They are awesome in the resort and in the backcountry. Mine are paired with Rossignal Sender 106s and Dynafit boots. I feel like the entire kit has to be pretty lightweight to perform best.
Solid and light weight
Shift is very reliable solid and light weight binding.
