So glad I bought these socks
I just came back from a 6 day ski trip in CO where I used these socks for the first time. It was a very cold trip (one day never got higher than 11 deg) and these socks worked so well I wore them 2 days in a row rather than any of the other 5 pairs of wool ski socks that I brought. The icebreaker socks felt warmer than my others and the padding on the shin and toes really protected my feet.
Great Ski Socks!!!
These were the softest and most elastic (but still warm) ski socks I have ever worn. I have larger than normal calves and they fit comfortable over them without cutting in at the top. Love them and hope they are not discontinued ever.
Innovative styling
I did not realize these socks came in right and left. What a concept. No more extra fabric bunching around those toes! Very soft and comfy, but unfortunately they won’t get any ski experience til next season with our recent unseasonal warm temperatures!
Icebreaker Sock
Just picked up my socks yesterday. OMG I love them. I put them on right away and havent taken them off yet. My feet feel so warm and toasty! Love them. Going to get more!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Merino Over the Calf Socks are something I have purchased again and again. I love them so much I have given them as gifts to family living in colder and wetter areas and have received continued thank you's repeatedly from them long after. For me, they are my feet savers each year when I make my annual trip to Ireland each winter. These socks are deliciously cozy, soft, easily washed/dried and shut down the bone chilling cold of winter no matter where I travel. The anatomical design for left and right foot use is a great idea and helps keep the great fit consistent. It would be a helpful idea to use a higher contrast of color on some of the darker colors so determining the L from the R could be done with a glance without having to inspect in a bright light setting.
Feel flimsier than my other 2 pair
These are not as soft and warm and comfy as my other 2 pair. They’ll be okay on milder days, but won’t work for me when walking or standing in snow. Disappointing!
Great for chilly people even if you never ski....
I don't even ski but as a chilly person I wear these socks all winter. Thick sturdy knee highs that last!
