Not warm but nice otherwise

Other reviews mention warmth but I find it not so. Tested it outside in 43 degrees with three long sleeve layers under it (synthetic base layer, fleece quarter zip, long sleeve button up poly shirt), and decided it is quite a bit less warm than my down sweater. For some reason though it looks puffy, it has maybe a quarter inch to a half inch loft. Not sure if I will keep or send back. I did get it on sale and the construction is high quality and it is light weight. The teaberry color (discontinued?) is nice too. I usually wear a medium but this large fit to a tee with my 3 layers under it. The zippers feel good.

Feels like I’m wearing a down blanket

I was looking for a new jacket similar to my arcteryx jacket which I love and own in numerous colors. I noticed this was on sale and liked that it was a red in color. Once the jacket arrived, I quickly noticed the reflective strip on each side just outside the pocket. Not particularly appealing to me and I wish the pictures showed this prior to my purchase. For the price the jacket is very warm and comfortable. I wish the red was a little bit darker and less of a pinkish red. That’s just personal preference though. Overall the jacket is nice, and besides the reflective strips it should serve its purpose.

Surprisingly Great Jacket

I was looking for a mid weight jacket for Alaska winters and this one light, warm and breathable. Great for skiing, fat biking and walking the dog. I bought a large size after seeing reviews of OR running smaller. Large is perfect for layering. I have received many compliments on it. Not sure why the Teaberry colour is not popular, it is fantastic for being seen!!!

Best all purpose jacket ever

I got this jacket as I was about to go on the trip of my life to Europe and did not know what the coastal weather would dish out. This jacket saved me from freezing in early spring blustery weather, and is the greatest layering piece I have ever had. Without this jacket I would have been in misery. It is very light, easy to pack. lots of zippered pockets and does not make you look fat, if you are not into the puffed out puffy jacket look! I got a size larger than my actual measurements due to wanting to be able to fit in layers, I love this jacket! My best purchase ever. Delivery was uber fast too.

Great warm jacket!

I have the hardest time finding zipper jackets that fit. I have a short torso and large chest. The mediums are always just too tight or not good for layering, and larges are frumpy or have long arms. I did get a large in this and the arms are not too long. I can wear a short sleeve and still be snug in 35-40 degrees. Awesome jacket!

great jacket but painful pocket zipper

I loved the weight of this jacket for hike/walks in moderate (30-50) degrees. Unfortunately I also love keeping my hands in the pockets, and to do so you need the coat or a long sleeve shirt to cover your wrists and avoid them from rubbing on the large tooth pocket zippers. without protection its like getting a constant pinch. I have very long arms and the sleeves were slightly short which also caused my arm to hit the zipper. Anyway, its a great coat if you don't use pockets.

Great Purchase

This jacket is awesome! It's perfect for spring and fall backpacking, camping, and hiking and holds up well on rainy days. It packs down small enough to fit in my pack and the pockets are huge. The only negative I have is sometimes the side pocket zippers get stuck on the jacket material. All in all very happy with this jacket.

I would buy this product again!

When I received this Jacket, I was thinking it was not thick enough to keep me warm. Boy was I wrong! I'm working on the 48 4,000' Winter list of NH. This product exceeds expectations. Keeps me toasty and breathes with my exertions. Very happy!!

Give me warmth and great pockets and I'm a happy gal

I use this jacket just about every day! It is amazingly warm for how light it is. Definitely warm enough for a harsh cold day if you layer it with a fleece. Honestly, it's sometimes too warm. I can't wear this if I'm going to be doing anything too active. All in all, a jacket too warm definitely isn't a deal-breaker, I just wish it breathed a little better. Also, OH MY HEAVENS the pockets are the most amazing thing. I can fit 2 entire water bottles just in one pocket! It's mind-blowing. I've never had a jacket with such practical pockets. Well done, OR!
