meh
not the quality that I've come to expect from Columbia. The fleece is so sparse that you can nearly see straight through the jacket. not sure how this is supposed to keep my girls warm in any weather
Thank you so much for taking the time to provide your feedback! We will make sure this is passed along to the appropriate teams regarding opportunities for improvement on this product. Thank you for choosing Columbia!
Vert comfortable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We actually had to exchange the size, our daughter is petite (age 9) and normally the 10/12's are big on her, so when we ordered the 10/12 and it fit her perfectly, I was a bit surprised as we wanted it to be a a little bit bigger so we she could get the most wear out of it. The exchange process was extremely easy and we just ordered the larger size (14/16) and its perfect now. She will likely be able to get an entire year if not more out of it. She has already been wearing it around house when the air is on.. It is not losing "fluff" or anything. It is very soft and she just loves it!
Fireside Sherpa--soft, warm and oh so comfortable.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me start by saying I have twin 14 year old girls and shopping is typically very difficult with them! We bought this first in the red color for one of the girls. Of course she was drawn to the super soft fuzziness of this jacket. As soon as the other twin saw this jacket well you know she needed her own! We purchased that in the light blue almost aqua shade. Again, perfect fit. Both girls are about 5"2 and because we want it to fit for a year or 2 I bought both in an XL. Perfect fit for both! The sleeve length is perfect, it washes well (I always air dry, no fabric softener) and is an all around excellent choice for every season in WI. They can layer under or over with a winter jacket on the coldest winter days. And did I mention how soft and snuggly this is?
Enjoying these fleeces for two years now
My kids have worn and enjoyed these fleeces for the last year, so when one was lost, I happily ordered another— they are super-soft, which my kids love, and they seem to keep them warm enough in Georgia winters — they also fit well under a parka as a mid-layer. The medium fits a 56-inch tall, very slim girl just perfectly, and the small fit her perfectly the year before. Her similarly-sized sister can still wear last year’s size-small fleece, as well. This has been a good purchase for us.
Very Comfy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have purchased several Columbia Fleece jackets for my grand kids. They always run pretty true to size, maybe a little on the larger size but....I find that perfect since they can grow into them and wear them a bit longer. The fleece coats never seem to wear out so the more wear my grand kids get in them, the better. I've yet to have any issues with the Columbia brand. I will continue to buy the Columbia brand for both myself and my grandkids for a very long time.
Cozy and Warm
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wear an adult small, but I absolutely love the cypress color, so I ordered a girls XL, which fits just right. My office is freezing, and this jacket is perfect. It doesn't shed, it has pockets, and the sherpa is soft as can be. My only hesitation was the color of the zipper, which is a bright salmon pink. I would have liked a more neutral or matching color, but maybe the kiddos like it. Overall, it's a solid jacket for brisk (but maybe not freezing) weather.
Even better in person!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter wanted this bc it looked so soft & comfy. I wasn't sure about the black & tiki pink combo, bc it's actually more peach. But, I ordered it and it's absolutely beautiful in person! I am shocked how pretty the colors are together. It fit her just loose enough allow a sweater/hoodie under it & she has worn it around the house since she got it bc it's so comfy lol I wish they had it in my size!
Runs one size smaller
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket is cozy and soft, unfortunately it runs one size smaller and the openings for the hands fit really tight around my little girl's wrist. If your child is a 6X go with a small. On the other hand the Fireside Sherpa Hybrid in XS fit perfectly. She had tried on the Nordic Strider winter coat in a Small and it ran one size bigger, and the sleeves were too long for her.
Runs small
The sizing chart runs a whole size smaller than what it actually says. She wears an 8 which is normally a Medium but the size chart says that is a Small. I should have still went with a Medium. I had to return my entire order and re purchase everything. They do not do even exchanges. The product itself is good but dealing with customer service is not.
very soft
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i originally purchased an XS (6/6x) to set aside for my daughter when she starts school this year but it fits her perfectly right now. i ended up keeping the XS and ordering a S to tuck away for school. so just keep the size in mind when ordering. for reference she is a tall/lengthy/skinny almost 4 year old who wears a size 5 currently.
