Love it but not technical
Love the jacket but it really is not very technical it does not have pit Zips it does not have an adjustable hood in fact you cannot tighten the Hood at all it is just a big loose hood which is useless on the mountain it just flies off your head!!!!

Great coat, but...
This coat is so comfortable and looks great, too. However, upon opening, there's a large hole in the pocket that should have never been missed in inspection. Ordering online is great, returning online is a hassle, and finding a place to chat or talk with a person about this today left me with no option but to leave the review here.

Black Cotopaxi Fuego hoodie down.

I purchased this item because of the military first responder discount. I normally purchase Patagonia products. The cuffs could be a little tighter around the wrist and the hood needs to have adjustment. The 800 fill down has a lot of lift and seems to be getting loftier every day after unpacking. This is a warm jacket and the only color I would buy. I do not like the bright colors. Product seems durable for what it is. Would not handle brush very well imo. Water resistance and wind proofing would be a great add. I was going to return the item

I was a bit disappointed to see the feathers poking out in so many spots . Im thinking for the price I would recieve a pristine new jacket , the feather made it seem like it was worn for a year or something. At any rate im wondering what my options are . ???

The jacket is very thin and the filling has started coming out within a month or two

So this jacket is really lightweight and does not do well in temperature of lower 40s. The filling, I would expect to start coming out after year or more of use. I have worn this jacket for a few days in the DC metro area weather, and it does not keep me warm and the filling has started coming out already. The stitching is also coming lose in some area. For the price of the jacket, the return on value is very disappointing.... I am fan of cotopaxi, but this jacket just did not make the quality bar. Upside, the colors are great.

We are so sorry that we have missed the mark here for you! Thank you for sharing these photos as well :) We take this feedback to heart and will always do so, thank you! I do want to mention though that with all down products there will be some 'leakage' that happens before the down settles down and becomes better situated. The photos do not show extreme down leakage and this will not hurt the integrity of your item one bit. It would take 20+ years of down leakage like this to cause any compromise of warmth and such. You're amazing and thank you for your time here!

Great minimal hooded mid layer

Great minimal jacket for an alpine or backpacking layer system. It’s very warm at 14 oz and packs down small in its own storage pocket. This needs to be layered with tech shell for class v conditions. It’s lite on features which is what you want if you’re using it within a system as it cuts weight and bulk. With rain and rough conditions throw a hard shell on top. I find the quality on par with Patagonia and others. Better color scheme to make it cheerful fit bitter alpine endeavors. I don’t like the move to earth tones by other brands. The sizing I found to be on the bigger size so I downsized so it will be warmer and fit better under my arcyterx jacket.

Build quality is horrible

Build quality is horrible, falling apart from first day. Although it feels good to wear the jacket, I feel the build quality isn't as great as compared to brands in similar price range e.g: arcteryx, patagonia. I see the threads coming out from the very first wear. You can see in the pictures. Will return it, probably never buy a product from this brand. Very disappointed.

Coming apart after two days of city/light wear

This jacket has been worn twice (on a plane and in the city, not hiking or any strenuous activity) and the threading is undoing from several places, the down material coming out from at least three places (attachments show two examples). Is this common issue? If not, I would like the jacket to be replaced. If it is common for this company or this jacket, I would like a refund.

Warm, light, and good-looking, but not at all durable

I got the Fuego hooded down jacket in brown and orange. I bought it for winter travel—I wanted something warm enough for European winters but light enough that it won’t be annoying to pack away. It fits great and looks great, and it is indeed light and warm. But I wore it for just the second time yesterday, and the stuffing is coming out in at least three places. I didn’t do anything that you’d think would test a coat: I drove to the airport, carried a backpack to my gate, boarded the plane, drove a rental to a friend’s place. It’s really disappointing because otherwise I really like this coat.

Warm, not very durable.

Great warm jacket, love it ads mid layer on cold ski days or just running around town. After a few weeks of wearing it 2-3 times a week, it has started shedding a few feathers, and the zipper has lost 2 consecutive pieces making it get stuck when opening or closing the zipper without holding it at just the right angle.

Cotopaxi Fuego Hooded Jacket

A lot of the down fill fell off. This was my first Cotopaxi and I will not be purchasing it again. Not a good quality jacket and bad customer service.
