Wife loves it.
Bought it for my wife. She loves it. Warm, comfortable, and fits just right. It looks great on her, but so does everything.

unfortunate long term
I loved this coat. It was my favorite I have ever owned. I bought it at the beginning of the winter season last year. It was warm and held up beautifully. Yesterday I washed it, according to its instructions, as I have done before. When I removed it from the washer the zipper had somehow been obliterated. The teeth were gone and the pull tab had come off. For a coat this expensive I certainly expected the zipper to last longer than 1 season, and since it is just over a year old it cannot be returned. I’m extremely disappointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first coat ever that can do everything in one. And it's my early valentines gift from husband and son. I can't wait to use it and style it when the rodeo comes. Thanks for making something beautiful for pulse size women keep them coming.i also have many hats from here.

Keeps me super warm!

This parka was the best gift I got from my son 1yr ago but just used for the snow time in Houston I was very comfortable. You can un zip the bottom to sit comfortably. Pockets keep your hands warm too. And hat was super warm too.

Very warm but Feathers falling out

The arctic parka is very warm jacket however the feathers keep falling out. At first I thought it was just Lint from being a new piece of Garment but its been over 2 months now and both lint & feathers keep coming out. Also spoils the inner layers.

Picture advertised on REI website is misleading

The coat advertised in the picture is not the same as what is advertised on The North Face website. I received this coat today and there are no buttons, no thum bholes and the fur color is grey-black. The fill is 550. The new upgraded version of this coat is 600 down with buttons and thumb holes. I suggest ordering on the actual NorthFace website

Arctic Parka Design Changes in 2023

I was so excited to receive this NF Arctic Parka in the beautiful Pine Green color and very baffled by the changes NF has made to a previously perfect design, Change 1- They removed inside left side zip pocket. (perfect for not losing keys) and put in a completely open drop in pocket. While the new pocket is deep there is no closure. Change 2- Hood does not appear to have a drawstring or cinch. Previous design had a way to close the hood in around your head which is extremely helpful during very windy days and storms. Change 3- the Fur around the hood has a nice bit of wire that makes the hood feel firm, however without the fur on, the hood brim is tiny, much smaller than in previous years. It’s rainy here (PNW) fur that stops the snow is not great in rain so having a slightly longer or a sturdy brim on the jacket itself is important. Adding it to my NF wish list for this coat again in future. Change 4- The Velcro on the storm flap has been replaced with snaps. Why NF made these choices to their classic all weather parka is baffling. These jackets are still warm & beautiful winter fashion but now, as wet weather winter gear, not quite as functional.

Absolutely THRILLED !

The reviews regarding the size being too small or too large had me anxious. I ordered an XL and it fits welL, I believe, because I TOOK MY MEASUREMENTS and compared them to the SIZE CHART. I'm 5'4, 160 lbs, and the sleeves are a *tad* long because I'm really a "Petite", however, not a problem for me. It would still fit well with a sweater underneath. I've never paid this much for a coat before, but it has EVERYTHING I need and want for a very warm, waterproof, and windproof coat. I'll make good use of the guarantee if need be. Glad that I can remove the fur from the hood, and/or remove the hood from the coat. The pockets are adequate. I didn't want to look like a big snowman, and the style of the coat is a bit slimming. I thought it would weigh more / feel heavy, but it's not, and it's not restrictive. I especially like the longer length and it has the double zipper, so if I need to loosen it from the hem, up to my hips, I can. ABSOLUTELY THRILLED WITH IT!

Poor craftsmanship

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to love this parka and hoped to find a better jacket than Columbia produces. HORRIBLE. It is warm but poorly made. I've owned this coat for 3 winters. See photos.
