Just received these pants today and similar to many other reviews, noticed the sizing/proportions are a bit off. I'm a solid 10 or medium in pants and had I not sized down as recommended, the waist would've been too big. At the same time, because I ordered a size down, it lacked the looseness for a comfortable high step (or maybe it's just not stretchy enough). Hopefully the next person will enjoy these pants on their hike/scramble. For reference: 5'5", 135lbs, athletic but not overly muscular (aka these pants should've fit!).

These are my favorite pants. I got a olive green color to start but I'm also going to grab the black. The fit is to size, and they're not too long for a shorter person like a lot of these pants can be (5'4), especially since I like to wear them for climbing.

Quality looks nice, so that's the only reason it gets 2 stars instead of 1. The fit is terrible. The size is "right", but there is a huge bucket gap on my back. Awkward fit. Bummer that REI charges return shipping on badly fit items. I am not buying clothes from REI anymore.

I see a lot of tall people unhappy with the length of the leg and waist! I am shirt and it is near impossible for us to find clothes that fit. PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE THESE! Us short and short torso people need these! There's plenty of options for tall people, hardly any for petite people, especially in the sporty, sustainable clothing market. Please keep these as is. Also great for those of us with a little belly.

Great pants but need to tuck in shirt when bending over!

Great cut and cuffed pant legs work well, but the back rides down when bending over. I find I am always tucking in my t-shirts to avoid it getting uncomfortable. Shrunk a little in the wash too. Curvy, 5'5" 160lbs.
