Best Emergency Food But......

I’ve tried all sorts of ‘emergency food’ brands; preparing for what seems like the impending collapse of Western Civilization! Mountain House, while one of the priciest brands, is by far the best quality of food for the money. That said, and I speak from personal experience, follow the preparation directions precisely and make sure to hydrate the food properly.... otherwise.... well let’s just say it’ll be inside of you for an uncomfortable period of time. Lolol Rough. That said, I’ve got a few cases tucked away in a closet and have no doubts it’ll be good to go should I ever need it.

Less Salt more variety

I tried several of these and found the meats ok but spongy, gravy is nice, eggs nice. Hearty and warm. I would love to see Breakfast with just eggs cheese and HERBS! Dried Herbs are cheap and PLEASE get rid of all peppers in most of these meals- unless of course you guys can add Only a few to entrées Different Stews - Butternut Squash w onion, beans, potatoes, add greens if ya want PLEASE create vegetarian and vegan choices. Your company will make millions and though I am not vegetarian I eat a lot of Vegetables! GET CREATIVE hire a new chef

Excellent products!

I purchased this for future use, I have used Mountain House for many years and have on occasion had to rely on their products solely for short periods of time. The products from Mountain House have always been dependable, easy to prepare and very tasty. I'm a prepper of sorts and keep at least a 6 month supply stored for emergencies such as the deep freeze we had in south Texas a couple of years ago that lasted a few days. Between a few my neighbors and I, we had enough to see us thru and they were all amazed that this kind of freeze dried food was indeed very good, and most of them are now also stocking up with Mountain House. I'm in no way connected to Mountain House nor any of their subsidiaries, if there are any! I would most definitely recommend their products! You will not regret it!

Alright flavor, strange texture

I purchased this for a camping trip with our family this summer. Upon arrival my husband and I were excited to try one. We ended up trying the chili mac. The flavor was alright but the texture of the beef and the noodles were a bit strange. I had heard reviews of this being one of the best tasting on the market so I was a little disappointed. Overall the food is alright but I don’t think “picky eaters” like our kids are going to want any. We’re probably going to pack alternative food ideas.

Excellent Taste and Very Easy

This is not the first Mountain House bucket that I have bought. And it won't be the last. I really love all of the meals in the bucket collection. They are not only so easy to make but also easy to transport. My sister and I will be taking along this bucket on our camping trip next month. I can sum it up like this. Other emergency freeze-dried meals will help to keep you alive. But Mountain House freeze-dried meals will make you HAPPY that you are alive! I love them!

Bought in case of food shortage

I haven’t tried this yet, but I am impressed with the quality reviews I’ve read and who you have provided for prior to providing for this issue. I’ve always made quality food for my family and friends and have been blessed by God with an aptitude for it. I wouldn’t think of serving my family, or anyone who may need to come to our home for food, with less than satisfying meals that have good quality, the comfort of tasty food, the mental and emotional need for food that is nutritious and tastes especially good! I’ll gladly pay more for food that meets the needs of those who come to my door. I leave the multiplying to my Lord! I have faith that God will provide all we need for however many He sends! Thank you, Mountain House, for being a company that meets my expectations and the blessing of Almighty God our Provider!

Tasty, light weight packaging, easy to prepare

My husband and I camp often, we have found this brand to be the tastiest around. Its lightweight packaging makes it a go to staple for our hikes. Our emergency supplies currrently have a 3 month stock of food, which includes 6 #10 cans of our favorites as well as numerous 2 serving breakfast and dinner pouches. We got a kick out of the ice cream sandwiches!

Mountain House meals are excellent.

While I have been stocking up on your products recently, I have been doing it for future emergency use. I live in the White Mountains of Arizona, the largest Ponderosa Pine forest in eastern Arizona. Forest fire is always a concern, and at 78, I'm just not interested in waiting to the last minute if evacuation is the call of the day. The food is part of my emergency stockpile to take with me if and when evacuated is ordered again due to fires. My first exposure to Mountain House meals was as a boy scout back in the mid-50's and see no reason to investigate any of your competitors products. While it has been quite a few years since I last back packed in Arizona and California, Mountain House was always the choice and I’ve never seen any reason to look elsewhere. Hopefully my emergency food supply will provide enough food for myself and anyone who might be in need of a meal if there is another fire threatening our community and evacuation is ordered.

Ideal for van life

My wife and I live full time in a converted ambulance. Mountain House provides delicious meals that are shelf stable and require minimal room for storage. They are simple to prepare, and require little or no cleanup. We are planning to have our buckets cached with friends and family so we can pick them up as we travel.

Great food in a light weight package.

I bought 4 buckets of the mountain house for long term storage because over the years I have used mountain products for camping, hiking and hunting trips. It light weight make it easy to packing and the food its self is well made and taste great. It can also be found in many stores that carry camping supplies.
