LOVE it but pills easily! Be prepared.
I love this sweater- it's warm, cozy, fairly flattering given it is oversized (buy a size down- I am fairly tall and have long arms- the S fits well) and just so comforting to wear. I wore it non-stop (cement color) ... and within a short amount of time, it started to pill in the usual spots where the arms rub and cause friction. It actually looks so bad it has become a house only sweater now, BUT one that I wear almost every day despite this fact. Because of this, I bought a 2nd one in a different color (off white) and it's my "company" sweater. I only wear it briefly and take it off quickly because I don't want to "wear" it out and get pilling. So far, this strategy has worked. I don't think shaving the pills will work because they aren't technically pills, but more like matts. I included a photo of the 2 side by side so you can see the issue. Still would recommend even if this happens. It brings me great joy and comfort pulling it on during these cold MI winters! Just be in the know!
Oversized but flattering fit
I was not looing for an oversized sweater, but I got it in this. I'm petite (5'0" 90lbs) and this XS fits like a M- I could wear it through 9 months of pregnancy. Length comes to mid-thigh and sleeves come to my fingertips. The oversized look isn't unflattering though; the curved bottom hem makes it look more feminine and it drapes nicely. The shoulders actually fit well, the seam meets at the neckline which keeps it from looking too wide or boxy. I think I'll still keep it because it's so comfortable and I love the color (copper); also the textured look will hide my dog hair :) Got it on sale for $65.
Can't stop wearing it!
This sweater is amazing. My mom got it for me as a gift because she has it in two colors and adores it. I think I've worn this sweater every day since I got it. It's sooo deliciously warm and cozy. I wear it almost every morning when I get out of bed, sometimes I wear it as my actual clothing for the day, and if not I often put it back on as part of my pajamas. I'm here to buy it in another color, maybe two, so I can at least look like I change my clothes periodically. It's lightweight, stretchy, cozy, super warm, and I can't see myself getting tired of it anytime soon. Buy one in every color! Runs perhaps a little large but it's extra comfy when a bit oversized.
I recommend sizing down
Really cute and warm, and would be a very flattering cut except that it runs large. I am 34/27.5/38,128lbs and went with the small. The copper color is out of stock in the XS now, so I'm not sure if I'll return this one or try to shrink it down.
my favorite cozy sweater!
if you are looking for a cozy sweater, look no futher. your perfect sweater is here. It is soft enough you don't need anything underneath, but also big enough if you wanted to wear a long sleeve under neath for extra warmth you could. I've worn this hiking on the trail to yoga to a casual walk in my neighborhood to chilly mornings in my apartment. I have never liked turtlenecks but this one is PERFECT because it is not too tight. I put runs large because I think that is the style of this sweater, i don't think its meant to be a form fitting sweater at all. I love the sienna color- a bit more brown than orange to me. I am delighted with my purchase.
Roomy sweater that actually keeps you warm
I’m 5’6”, 160 lbs and I wear a large in REI Women’s tops. I ordered a size medium in this sweater and it fit perfectly, loose enough to not cling. I’m also pretty cold most of the time, but have been decently warm in this sweater!
Stylish, Warm, and Comfy Sweater!
I bought this sweater the beginning of winter and have absolutely loved it! It gets incredibly cold here in CO and owning a truly warm sweater has made such a difference. You can wear it at home, out to run errands, or you can dress it up by adding a cute belt… it’s such a convenient and multifunctional sweater. Worth the $$$! :) For the record, I am 5’9, 150 pounds, athletic built/curvy — I ordered a small and it fits perfect. I’m generally between a small or medium so I’d say this sweater runs slightly big… if you’re in between sizes I’d recommend ordering the smaller size.
Good for those who can't wear wool
I had admired these Kuhl sweaters but did not spring for one 'til they were on sale. While they look like they would be scratchy wool, they are synthetic, which is warmer than cotton and of couse doesn't itch (and dries a lot quicker after washing). I tried one on in the store and they DO run big; my usual size is Small but in this style I got an X-Small. It keeps me comfortably warm. The Cinnamon color is beautiful and perfect for the fall palette. I've only worn the sweater once so am not sure if it will pill up like many synthetics tend to do. I will turn it inside out and wash it on the delicate cycle.
Comfy, No-Itch Sweater!
I just bought this in store. I was hesitant to buy online due to sweaters being iffy for me regarding skin sensitivity and bulkiness that I find with most sweaters. My normal shirt size is a medium, and I often buy a large in outerwear for layering purposes. I actually bought a small in this sweater, because it's super roomy, and the medium and large made me look larger (not the look I want). The small is still roomy, and more flattering. There is 100% no skin sensitivity or itchiness, but super soft like a cozy blanket! My only suggestion is that I'd love to have more tunic length options to wear with leggings. I love Kuhl products, and despite spending more on a sweater than usual, I'm confident that this will last for years to come due to Kuhl's quality. I'm looking forward to wearing this on crisp, chilly days and nights!
Pills terribly after washing just once
The sweater washes terribly. I purchased two of them and followed the instructions carefully to wash the KUHL sweaters. They pill terribly. Not worth what they cost. Very disappointed in the quality. They look awful now.
