Wrinkled and Rumpled

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased a couple of these last spring, and finally got around to wearing them the last few weeks as the weather's gotten cooler. They were great out of the package...and then I washed them. These shirts are almost IMPOSSIBLE to keep from looking wrinkled, and I've tried everything: Air drying, half-drying, ironing while still damp... The price is good, but honestly, the patience it takes to get this fabric looking even remotely wearable just isn't worth it. If it wasn't well past my return date, they would ABSOLUTELY be going back.

Inconsistent, Unwearable After Washing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered two of these shirts in different patterns. Out of the package, they were perfect - felt and fit great. They were slightly long in the sleeves, but I could have easily worn them as they were, and I expected them to shrink a bit. Unfortunately, I washed both before wearing. One was borderline wearable and ironed to look decent. The other shrunk until it was too tight, horribly wrinkled, and the sleeves were far too short to even wear once. If you risk purchasing one of these, be sure to order up a size. I wish they weren't so inconsistent and didn't shrink so much, because it seemed like they would be very comfortable out of the package.

Color and Fit are Great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great fitting shirt with good pattern and color. Hopefully it does well in the wash and drier and it stays true.

Great Quality & Value

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Several years ago, I bought one of these styles shirts and loved it ever since. As a result, I tried to find this same style of Columbia shirt in different stores for a few years without success. This year, I decided to look online and finally found the same style. I just bought 3 more of theses shirts and they look to be the same quality as the one I bought several years back. I hope Columbia has not changed anything in their fabric formulation. The fit is just right for me.

Doesn't feel like plastic

Call me an old fogey, but darn near all of the shirts available these days are some kind of "no iron" treated fabric that feels like you are wearing a sheet of visqueen. These shirts are the real deal. 100% cotton, soft, fit great great (sleeves maybe 1/2 inch too long, or maybe my arms are 1/2 too short!) and wash perfectly. Al long as you take it out of the dryer promptly, it hardly wrinkles at all. I have two, and ordering another one now!

A flannel shirt, really?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fabric of this shirt is disappointing. It is advertised as a flannel shirt but it is more akin to a lightweight cotton shirt. I intended to return it but the Columbia return rules state that the original tags must be affixed to an unworn garment. I kept the tags but had washed the shirt. I did not wear the shirt until yesterday. The fit was somewhat tight. I will be donating the shirt to the local second-hand clothing store.

Awesome product

All the guys in my family LOVE these shirts. My only and biggest problem is that when I place my order, get a conformation, and then a couple of days later, I get an email saying something could not be shipped. If the items are out of stock, I could understand, but these were in stock. I took my time making sure I was getting everything on the list to have to just go back and do it again. Very aggravating to say the least.

Very nice, very soft shirt for the price

This review will be simple. As my title suggests, this is a great value. I ordered 3 of these long sleeved Rapid Rivers for wear this fall and winter. They look nice on, wash really well, don't wrinkle (too much--they are cotton after all), feel good and the price is right. I'm hoping they continue the Rapid Rivers shirts this next Spring so I can pick up a few short sleeves. Don't hesitate to buy. Great job Columbia.

Great Look

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the quality and look of this shirt. I have it in two colors and have received many compliments on both. I highly recommend this shirt. It's not a true XL like I am used to. I am a middle-aged, 6' tall guy with a bit of a stomach. I also have larger forearms, but not huge. With those in mind, the shirt does for a little snug in those areas. Depending on your build, you might want to try the next size up.

Very happy with this (replacement) shirt!

Collegiate Navy Gingham - I bought a similar shirt from another brand, and after a wash or two, shrunk, looked horrible, and stained terribly on the collar. Clearly the other brand shirt was cheaply made, and used poorer quality cotton/material. I turned to ol' reliable Columbia brand, and found this similar shirt. I liked the pattern of the print, and this is somewhat of a larger check than what I had had, but I like it more. This Columbia shirt is of high quality, FIT like a glove, as Columbia always does for me, and is just a nicer shirt overall than the one it replaces from the other brand. SO glad I (found and) bought this shirt. SO happy with it. Again, I have no regrets buying Columbia brand clothing. The shirt is soft, lighter weight than some, but not paper thin or anything, and will go great with my outfits for work or casual wear. Totally satisfied! Yes(!), I would recommend this shirt.
