The sizing chart is inaccurate, which makes it difficult to size the product when ordering online. Recommend buying a size up if possible.

Waist size does not match my expectation

First, please understand that I have made many Mountain Hardware purchases. I had been looking for exactly this type of leisure pant for my workouts (a light weight, easy on, easy off but wearable for workout or leisure dress). This item is PERFECT!! Except, the waist size which is LG Regular I thought would fit my waist measurement 36-38. I know I have not gained any inches. This pant waist does NOT go around me (remeasured) exact inches:-). I hope a mistake was made in the measurements. Otherwise I'd have to lose a whole lot of inches.:-( in order to enjoy this new garment.

So close. Need to breathe a little more

I bought these for a hike with potential rain involved. The pants held up well under my faucet for a while so I think they'll do really well in the rain. The breathability leaves a little something to be desired. I went for a run in 61 degrees with a threat of rain. My legs were very wet and not a single drop of rain fell. To be fair, running is much more sweat inducing than hiking so I'm still happy with my purchase. The pants pack light and fairly small into the one pocket and it has a loop to attach it to a carabineer. The thing I did wrong was purchase medium regular. I should have gone with medium short. I'm 5'8" 170lbs and the regular drags on the ground if I don't have shoes on. My legs are thicker than average but these fit well.

Not useful as a rain pant

No rain pant should lack full-length zippers. It’s clearly a cost-cutting measure, but negates the usefulness of the pant because it cannot be put on or taken off over boots, let alone crampons. The only way you could use these would be if you wore them the whole day just in case it rained, and nobody wants to do that. Look elsewhere for your rain pants.

Light rain pant

Nice light rain pant to throw in your pack. Best for hiking. Could potentially use for skiing with something layered underneath. Yes, you have to take your boots off to get it on but I never liked full zip pants myself. It's not clear if it's waterproof breathable or just plain waterproof. Medium long fits over jeans nicely. I am 6'1" 165#

Great pants

Great rain pants that also double as a top layer in snowy conditions. They are easy to slip on over a base layer, pants, and boots. I recommend going a size up just so that no matter what size of hiking pants you are wearing (tight fit or loose), these will fit over top.

Waterproof without the swamp ***

Mountain Hardware continues to nail the product and sizes. I'm 6'1" 220lbs. Even being heavier on my legs, the cut on these is great for unrestrained movement. The breathability of theses is amazing; keeping your legs dry without getting sweaty. I would buy again.

Not what I needed

I returned these. They were super baggy around the bottoms so they would drag the ground even with boots on. Also they need some pockets in the normal location for pants. The material was nice and light though.

Excellent, top quality rain pants

Top quality rain proof paint. Very comfortable, lots of pockets, quality throughout. Light weight too. I wish they had velcro at the pant leg bottom. Nice fit, you can run in them. Good price too.

The Acadia Jacket and Pants is a great set to keep stashed in the car, for walking the dog or stowed in your pack just in case.
