Worst off the bike. Good on.
These liners are a mixed bag for me. They have the Urban chamois, which I found very comfortable on both my road and Peloton bike for long rides. The longest I’ve done with them is 38 miles on my road bike and 90 minutes on the indoor bike; they helped solve numbness in my toes caused by what I narrowed down to pressure on nerves in the groin area as I ruled literally everything else out (professional bike fitting checking seat height, cleat position, etc). Liners with multi level padding seemed to exacerbate the problem. This liner is smooth and comfortable — ON the bike. However, off the bike they are horribly uncomfortable. The give you a giant wedgie and are the worst I’ve tried for walking around off the bike, especially before you ride. However the comfort they give on the bike makes me overlook it. They also LOOK surprisingly snug on the thighs but don’t hurt at all. I have a 20” thigh circumference right where you can see the visible short line; weigh about 120 lbs. You can see in the photo that they push in and cause visible lines (not a huge deal) and bulging in the inner thighs (more annoying) that isn’t there with other shorts. Again because these shorts helped me overcome some numbness I deal with these issues. If they hadn’t helped my numbness issue I’d have returned them because of the wedgie discomfort when walking off the bike. But priorities!
Disappointed
I was really disappointed. Even on sale I think they are over priced for the thin liner in them. The legs were very narrow, so they were tight and constantly rode up. If I hadn’t worn them I would have returned them, instead I cut the leg bindings off. They still ride up but don’t pinch my legs. Other than the leg width, they fit like I would have expected. If you don’t have thin legs, don’t buy.
Just right
These are comfortable, fit well and provide the cushioning I was looking for in the saddle on a short ride. Love the feel and look of the fabric.
