Terrible Bug Net
The bug net system is terrible. The bug net's sleeve design comes with a tiny opening at the end to slip the hammock through and a big opening at the top to make it easy to slide the net out of the way when getting in and out of the hammock. The drawstrings and clinches don't work well. The larger opening would not close all of the way. After trying for 15 minutes while inside the hammock as well as getting out and trying to close it from the outside there was still a big opening for bugs to get through which defeats the purpose of the net itself. Overall the other parts of the hammock system were great and easy to use. Not having a reliable bug net is a deal breaker.
Way better then a tent
In a bag, it’s the same size as a doublenest and Atlas XL- rainflys a bit big when packed but fine though. The hammock is honestly more comfortable then my Doublenest, and way smaller. The rain fly kept me dry in a pretty heavy storm- despite not being covered on 2 ends. Overall great! Only complaint though- those little cinch things break really easily, and mine came broken, but luckily REI gave me new ones. Apparently the fly is meant to come with hooks, but I didn’t get any. Knots are fine but it would be nice if ENO sent me 2 of those aluminum hooks.
Easy all in one system
My son got this for Christmas and finally got to use it this weekend and he loved it. It was easy to set up and kept the bugs away.
Super
Great design, easy to set up and break down. So lightweight and small. I'm done with sleeping on the ground.
Great system for backpacking
I have two Doublenest hammocks and I love this system! I’m short. It’s works well for me for backcountry camping! In response to review #1. I contacted ENO and they sent me the hooks.
Would be 5 Stars except for..
4 stars because the hanging system is such that you really have to find trees within the 14'-10' range to hang. Other than that this would be 5 stars. Light, comfortable, easy to set up (once you find the right trees), and rain tarp is great and can be used as a stand alone. Bug net works for me, however I am yet to really have to deal with mosquitos.
Great way to Start Hangin'
Not just an entry level hammock system. The ENO SubLink Hammock Shelter System comes with everything you need and an upgraded hammock strap system which in my opinion is pretty slick. I do wish they had color options for the hammock itself but one can't complain for the price break you get when buying the system. Should you be okay with the additional pack weight, one could switch it out with a ENO DoubleNest Hammock for a higher weight capacity and a more unique design than just green.
Very unhappy. Terrible quality for top dollar.
I finally used this after a year of having it. I didn’t open it to check for quality bc when you pay $200 (on sale) for a hammock system, it’s expected to be the best! However there were multiple issues and it almost completely ruined my backpacking trip. There were strings hanging off that kept unraveling, the hammock was SO thin there was almost no way to sit in it - I actually flipped over backwards the first time I sat in it, AND the straps that come with it for hanging are awful! There is one or two notches to hang from… it took about an hour to set up and even then it barely worked out. Compared to my sisters’ $30 one from target, she set up in 20 minutes, I feel like I got totally ripped off. Now I’ve come to realize that there is a return window, when I thought it was more like Costco, so I can’t even return it as planned.
Comfortable to sleep in but a little long on setup
If I had to give a review in just on the quality it would be 5 stars. Except, I gave it a 4 for the time it took to setup/takedown. It seems a little over engineered. The person I was backpacking with had a Hennessy Hammock and he setup/took down much faster.
