Boots are fantastic!

The boots are fantastic and are much more durable than the injection molded boots sold in the store. Full grain leather offers much better support than the other split grain alternatives -- 2 layers of Gore Tex for waterproof protection vs. 1... I consider this to be a lifetime hiking boot vs. the other boots that only lasted no more than 5 years of normal use. Highly recommended!

Didn’t work for me

It’s a gorgeous boot, but it didn’t work for my feet. I have flat feet that easily blister and was looking for a daily walking boot through winter weather conditions. Every time I wore this boot, I returned home dying to take them off. I’m not sure what the exact problem was, but I think a big one was the leather being more supportive, less flexible. I need a softer boot and eventually found one. I think if your feet aren’t as fussy as mine and you’re able to soldier through breaking them in, this might be a good boot.

Buy these boots - you will love them!

I love these boots - super comfortable, even right out of the box. I usually wear a 6 or 6.5 in nikes--for these Danner boots the 5.5 fit me perfectly. (at first I ordered a 6 but they were too big). Danner suggests ordering a size or 1/2 size smaller than you usually wear, and that they should fit snug as they will stretch with wear. These are top quality leather boots! Can't say enough about them--buy them!

With assistance from 2 female Danner Boot a selection was made from all Made In USA ( only= Quality) Boots. Mountain Pass S’mores was the choice. The boot was given as a gift to my wife. They fit perfectly and passed the look test and more importantly passed the functionality/wearability test. This is truly one of the few times( counted on 1 hand) that she was truly happy and satisfied with something I selected for her. After 35 years I finally got it right because Danner got it right.

These boots are amazing! My mom and I both bought a pair for our trip to Iceland in October. We did a lot of hiking up and down mountains and across a glacier. We were hiking in rocky, icy, and wet conditions. Our feet stayed warm, dry, and comfortable the whole time. No blisters and no achy feet. These were recommended to me by a friend who does a lot of weekend hiking in the Northeast of the US. I would highly recommend these boots! The quality is excellent.

Perfect!!

I was waiting for the Mountain Pass Cedar to come back in stock, but got tired of waiting,so decided to order Mountain Pass Smores and am I glad I did!! They are so cute with the green laces!! They fit my wide, high arch, high instep feet perfectly right out of the box. I ordered my usual size 7 and the fit is perfect. This is my second pair of Danner boots, the first being the 600 model, and I will never wear another brand for hiking. I absolutely LOVE these boots and can't wait for my first hike in them. I'm wearing them around the house now just because I don't want to take them off and am wearing lightweight crew socks. I tried them with a medium weight sock, but they made toe too tight. The lightweight socks are much better. These boots are expensive, but worth it due the fit, comfort, looks, and the fact that they are made in the USA.

Very comfortable leather boots! They are comfortable from the start, but do need some break in time for leather stiffness. I plan to wear these alot. I did not purchase them for hiking, more for a daily walking around wear, but they would do well for light hiking. Just an all around trail to town boot! Ordered my normal boot size of 9 and it was a perfect fit.

excellent boot

I had to give up hiking in trail runners after moving to maine, where short hikes often feature scrambles up (or, even worse, down!) steep, slick, wet, granite. These aren't too hot, generally, and are perfect in the shoulder seasons. Light enough too. And surprisingly grippy! I don't think I could be more pleased. I look forward to wearing these a long time.

These are beautiful and comfortable.

These are beautiful and comfortable. I just don’t like that the ball/toe end of the boot comes, which overall makes the platform flat. I tend to stand/walk putting more weight in my heel, and so I need the heel to be higher than the toe in order to help me evenly distribute my weight. Sadly, had to return.
