GREAT FOR THE OFFICE OR ON THE ROAD
Sometimes you need a really sturdy table to charge things on, such as phones, iPads, computers, etc. This table is perfect! It's built like a tank, not something flimsy. It takes virtually no space and it's going to go with me on the road wherever I go. It will be the beside the bed table for my phone and alarm clock, or under a table to hold my portable printer, or even just something to go by a chair to hold books and a drink. The only thing is you have to get the hang of opening it (no big deal) but once you do it a couple of times you're fine. I travel with a lot of equipment and it's always going to be with me.
Gotta have it
Love this little table. I use it to sit my drink and book on in the daytime (outside my tent) and by the firepit in the evening. When I'm ready for bed I take it inside my tent for a nightstand. ♡
Disappointing Quality
Disappointing quality: the first one I received was broke so I returned it. I then went to order it again, I decided not to do an exchange because I wanted to see if there were other options. Ultimately, I decided on placing the order for a second one but the price had gone up 10$. When the second one arrived it was also broken, but functional. AND it had a price tag on it for 10$ less than what I paid (49.95 vs the 59.95$ it was listed for online). Overall the quality of the leg rails is not great and the packaging was poor. Pretty disappointed in this REI item.
For what I paid for it, this should be 10 stars!
I originally bought the 1st one at 50% off, then came the 75% sale. Love my local REI store for adjusting the price for me... so I bought 3 more at 75%off! This is an excellent side table for car camping or simply on your deck or porch enjoying coffee on a rainy morning.
Do Not Buy
When the table first arrived we noticed the rivets holding the legs to the guides were a little tight. Wishing a month, one of the plastic washers had cracked and fallen out. By the following year, the same happened to the other side. This year, after two years of very light use, we couldn’t even get the legs to unfold as they would just bind against the guide rails. Retail for this table should be no more than $30 as it is cheaply made and not designed to last or be repaired.
Love it!
We bought two last spring and love them. Use them car/canoe camping when weight isn’t an issue (they’re heavy) and at home in front of the TV for the kids. 3/5 because we would never pay full price for them, they are slippery when not flat, and they are tricky to open. BUT we got them on super clearance for $17 each. At that price I should have bought four; for $70 it’s not worth it.
Sturdy, well made, camping table--I love it!
This sturdy little camping table is perfect! It easily folds up, and has sturdy, wooden handles for carrying. It has friendly edges, no pointy, sharp corners. I have arthritis, and it is arthritis friendly. It's cute. Well made. Won't tip over. Until I take it cabin camping, I 'm using it in the house, near my chair. And, the price! What a smokin' deal for REI members! It's a bargain. Thank you REI for another wonderful product!
Built like a brick sh*thouse, and weighs like one.
This is a convenient size for outdoor picnicking and, folded, can fit inside that folding backpack chair that I bought along with it. It’s very sturdy, which is both a pro and a con: it’s way heavier than I really need, and would prefer something in plastic or fiberglass that would be sufficiently sturdy but lighter weight.
Table? Meh. Ottoman? YES!
This has not yet made it to table status. From the first moment of the first setup, my only thought was "Dang, I gotta put my feet up on that." It begs the muddiest of boots to make attached feet and legs happy. You can always hose it down later.
Nice & Handy!
Well made, sturdy, and will be useful. Leg latching mechanism could be made to operate more easily. Color choices would have been nice.
