This tent is extremely lightweight at barely over 2lbs. I used it in totally frozen temperatures on Mt Rogers where there was 2+ inches of snow everywhere and on the summit an additional 1/4"-1/2" of ice. I had no condensation with all of the hatches battened down. Setup is intuitive and fast. A larger vestibule would be nice, but the weight of this thing and the price when on sale is a no-brainer all day. There is enough room for me to sit up, roll over, and shift around without hitting the sides or the roofline. I am 6' 1/2" and 215lbs. So even at that weight, its not tiny and claustrophobic. Buy this tent.
Just traded in the B.A. fly creek for this as soon as I found out the Tiger Wall now came in a 1 person version! This tent is seriously perfect. It’s incredibly spacious inside, easy to set up, and sturdy. I love the side door entrance and the size of the vestibule. I often sit and cook with my legs and stove in the vestibule in bad weather or early nights so. I have very little problems with condensation and the waterproofing of the fabric holds up to the heaviest Pacific Northwest rain.
I have many tents over the years and the Tiger Wall is hands down my favorite. I like to backpack for extended periods during the summer months but also for one nighters that involve photography or skiing, meaning I have lots of gear. This tent, with its large vestibule and tall corners has tons of room for all my extras. And due to it being seriously light, I don't feel so bad about bringing all the extras. The TW is also really easy to put up with a single pole and precut guy lines and color coordinated snaps. The feature I love most is the side door which makes for easier access and a comfortable and safe place to cook in inclement weather. Highly recommended!
Before I take a new tent out I always give it a good rain test. As well as a sort of functions check. Super small. Smaller that the pictures, ridiculously thin. And the guy out lines and all honestly seem like they’d wear out in no time, cheap material. It was pretty weather proof however getting in while the fly is wet, it will undoubtedly slip between you and the inside and get rain on the tub. Trust me I tried to make sure it wouldn’t happen, yet it did, every time. You can say it’s mainly my fault for not reading reviews well enough . As you can see there’s someone who rated 5 stars as well as “roomy”. Never paid attention that they were 5’1 !! if you’re honestly over 5’8 I’d say get a 2p I don’t really know what I was thinking even with my experience. I just jumped on the sale and liked big Agnes but the tiger wall all I really feel is ... Eh. I plan on returning, hope this helps.
Lightweight tent for solo hikes. Interesting to see how it will perform in rough weather in Finland.
they come with no poles but the picture shows poles!!!
