I dislike these shoes so much. The sizing is way off. They were a full US size too large.. I’m typically a size 9 but my feet were swimming in extra shoe at the toe of these. They are fairly wide also which makes no sense to me as an approach shoe, I think they’d be way more practical if they offered a more snug fit. Additionally the quality of material is total garbage. The few times I took them out on scrambley canyon trails down to the crag resulted in the rubber upper at the front of the shoe coming away from the fabric. You’re 100% paying in to the brand name and not quality material or design.
I found theses on the R.E.I. website. I reside in Nebraska which has brutal winters and ice that's hyper slick. I have to wear all black shoes at work. When I noticed these have "suction cups" and Vortex on the outer soles, I knew THESES shoes were ment for ME. They feel so comfortable and feel light as a sneakers, which is super!! I certainly will buy more pairs in the future. A super value for such a great shoe.
I'm usually 7.5 or 8. I have a wide feet. Reading the review and I got 7.5. It works out perfectly and I can fit my hiking socks in it. I like the minimalist design of Arc'teryx. It looks very industry and high tech.
The sizing is way off! I am usually a size 7. I returned it for the 6.5, but I am not returning that for a size 6. What up with your sizing?
These are easily a full size larger than my normal size (8). Look at the sizing guide at go with your Eu size if you know it. Hard to tell how the rest would feel as the top of the laces break right across my toes uncomfortably. Color brighter in person, but still nice (more of a clay/coral than a maroon)
I loved the look. I already read the reviews and ordered half a size smaller and it is still about 1 size big, maybe if you have wide feet, order one size smaller and if you have narrow order 1 and half size smaller.
A comfortable shoe after straining to get it on. The laces were too short, the shoe lasted only three months after everyday wear, and the fabric was not durable. What happened to Arc'teryx quality of foot ware?
These run big -- I usually wear 9.5 but I found the fit quite loose and could fit two fingers in at the heel. They are very stiff and heavy. Not ideal for trails with loose rocks.
I just bought these and am enamored with the lightweight feel, the traction, and the nimble footing. I bought 1/2 size up and they fit well with a thin to thick wool sock.
I bought these for everyday commuting shoes, but they are great for everything! Short low impact hiking and walking the dog!
