[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wore these pants casually a few times the first week I bought them. They pill so quickly and it only gets worse over time. I don't think there's any kind of warranty coverage either.
You will want to own more than one pair.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These Aphrodite pants give Exceptional comfort on my daily 6 mile walk, no matter what the weather. My phone stays put in the back pocket as I walk. If you are my height, 5' 3", buy the regular length if you walk in the sun, so you won't get a tan line at the ankle. I own dark gray, navy and dark green ones. I wear these pants to the store, the bank and on other errands, since they look good off the trail also. The size small pants fit me well when I weighed 120 pounds up to 135 pounds and have a sturdy draw string. They look new after 100 washings. Machine wash and hang dry - always ready to wear again the next morning.

The Aphrodite Motion pants are aptly named. The fabric is lightweight with just enough stretch to allow a good range of motion, but also manages to be very durable. What I like about the elastic waist is that it's not overly restrictive and the fabric is soft, not scratchy like some elastic bands. I am 5'-4" tall and 134lbs. The small size fits perfectly in both the waist and in length. I really like the tapered fit at the leg. Although the leg opening is narrow, the fabric gives enough to be worn over the top of my hiking boots. I gave these pants a 5-star rating because I haven't found anything I don't like about them so far. In fact, I was so pleased that I ordered two more pair in other colors.
Cool pants for hot to warmer weather... love them!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love, love, love these pants. I am 65 and bought 4 pair for the Summer here in South Texas. Cannot wear shorts because of a large sunspot, so these were the coolest (literally) and best fitting pants on the market. Love the colors and wash on delicate and hang up damp till they dry. They never wrinkle and breathe beautifully, allowing for maximum breath ability in hot weather. We have hot to warm weather in Texas until December, so these pants will serve for many purposes and occasions. Wore them in 107 degrees today while exercising our Pony and to the hunting lease. I felt cool.
I bought 4 pairs. They are so comfortable and no bad issues.

My Go-To Pants for Everything
I have these pants in three colors. They are so versatile - whether I'm running errands around town or kayaking/camping/hiking - I wear them at least 3 times a week! They may fit a little snug through the hips, but overall the fit is great. I really like the option to cinch up the legs to add a bit of style or clearance from water when I'm kayaking. I wore these on a 3-day kayaking and camping trip to the San Juan Islands - so we saw warm weather and sunshine to rain and these pants dried quickly, were flexible, comfortable and were all I wore the entire trip! They're breathable and a perfect balance in temperature. Definitely recommend them if you're looking for a pant that's versatile - from exercise to casual.
I would be hesistant in buying these pants again
I was excited on purchasing this item - however on the third wear the drawstring on one of the pant legs came out. I was pretty shocked at the quality because I have other North Face items as I am a competitive climber. Really disappointed in the product. Had they not broken so easily my rating would be much higher and I would be raving about them to my friends. It is also not an easy self fix - NOTE THAT the return warranty is quite lengthy - you have to pay shipping and fill out forms and wait for them to "evaluate" the product. This is a great way to deter customers from returning their items - which does not bode well to a good review. I doubt I will be buying much from the North Face just based off of this warranty process.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In my opinion, the Aphrodite pant style is well thought out because the elastic waist makes it easy to slip into and out of; side pockets are always useful; the fabric is lightweight and moves with you versus fighting any motion. I appreciate that someone still makes a pant that's not cropped or for jogging. This pant looks good for work, or casual activities; IMO it goes anywhere except formal events. So far the color choices are good but a couple more saturated colors would be great -- like a rich chocolate brown, deep burgundy, dark charcoal, etc.
Fit is off. Very disappointing.

The fabric is lightweight and I love the "goblin blue" color that's not available everywhere. I have the similar version in shorts and they're good. But the pants would only work if I had a longer waist and bigger hips. I got an XS. I'm 5'2" and 105 lbs. My build is athletic with wider shoulders than hips, so pants that are cut like this do not work. There's excess fabric around the hips. The rise was about 11 inches, 1-2 inches higher than I prefer. Will be returning them.
Great pants
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great pants. They are slightly stretchy and very comfortable. The pants are good for warm and slightly cold weather. It keeps me warm when it's chilly outdoors but it doesn't make me hot when it is warm. I'm short (5 ft 0 in) so the regular length is slightly long (but not extremely long like other pants). The only downside is that, because I'm short, the seams near the knee area is too close to my knee and makes me feel like the pants are too long and I need to pull up my pants (even though I had the pants hemmed).
