It's light weight
I found that this jacket is extremly lightweight. Not so sure about the insulation value and what to use it for. I tested numerous types of weather, found its most suitable for in between seasons like spring but not as a base layer. It's a baggy thing, not a trim fit, wich is stupid because it needs to insulate and it isn't that wind resistant. Because it's so light weight I'm afraid of tearing it apart one day. In my honest opinion it's overpriced and I personally get a better feeling with Mammut products. Arcteryx is an early adopter in tech and material but I think the reputation is cathing up if they don't start to listen to their customers...
Amazing for layering!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Those with experience will tell you that layering is the best way to stay warm but also just the best for regulating temperature based off your activity. This is something clearly Arc'teryx knows and understands with precision. One of the major reasons I love shopping this site is how they tell you what number the item corresponds to in the layering system so you can build your ideal comfort, style, and function. This particular jacket is not only warm but the lack of hood is best since my shell/parka layers have a hood. Something to think about. I am 6'1 / 175 pounds and the medium is a perfect fit although remember for the layering system the top or top 2 layers you may need a large.
seam causes lump on front zipper
I love how this looks and feels, but the pocket stitching inside the jacked causes a weird lump on the front zipper right in the middle of the jacket. For the price, I just couldn't justify keeping it.
Great Lightweight Jacket
Excellent lightweight late Spring, early Fall jacket for New England weather. Good quality, easy to pack, and stays crisp regardless of how much you beat it up!
Love it
Love this lightweight jacket. Like the look and feel much better than the regular Kyanite jacket. Has an athletic fit. Like that the logo is embroidered. On a couple other Arc’teryx hoodies, the logo has worn off. The only drawback for me is that it does not have the easy zipper that my other Arc’teryx jackets have had.
Nice but not trim fit
Fantastically light and stretchy. Seems like a great midlayer. Haven't tested for wind resistance yet, but that will tell whether it has utility without a shell. Body fit seems ok but sleeves are too short. Granted I'm 6-3 and got a small. If it was a trim git maybe I could get a larger size but it's not. A drawstring or elastic waist is always nice but missing here. Ditto on elastic cuffs. Loose fit on the sleeves will not be great for warmth. I'd buy it again but it could use tailoring for fit folks.
Most comfortable fleece I've ever owned
I don't collect fleeces, but I have worn several over the years and the Kyanite is hands-down the most comfortable one I have worn. The fit is how they describe it online, and it is surprisingly warm given its weight. I wear it around the house all of the time, and on days when it isn't too cold outside (say in the upper 50s) it is definitely warm enough as a stand-alone outer layer. And for colder days, given how lightweight it is, it can easily serve as a mid layer underneath a heavier jacket without feeling bulky (e.g. under an Atom LT).
Nice lightweight jacket
The Kyanite LT is a nice light weight jacket. Initial feel of the jacket, it is comfortable and weights only few grams. The jacket does not provide much warmth, no surprise as expected for the lightweight jacket. In my opinion, Jacket would be perfect for spring, summer and fall. Navy blue compliments this jacket beautifully. Overall very comfortable to wear. Jacket marketed as Trim Fit, but it does not feel as a slimmer closer to a body fit. The jacket feels to be a regular fit. The fit is a biggest disappointment I have with Kyanite LT. It feels baggy, too much extra free flopping material in the lower back, sides and feel very baggy under arms area. It certanly does not fit as other Arcteryx trim fit jackets in my closet. In my opinion, fit is a big miss of the Kyanite LT.
Great versatile jacket
This jacket is super comfortable. I personally love the fit. I'm 6' tall and about 180 pounds. I bought the Large and it works really well for me. I wear it around the office and I like that it has a little room underneath so I can comfortably have a shirt underneath. It's not baggy in any sense, it just look nice and clean. Love the stretchy material. The jacket adds just a bit of warmth, which is perfect for what I need. I also have the regular Kyanite jacket.. and hoodie. The LT version is lighter, which is great. For cooler weather I still use the regular Kyanite. I thought the regular Kyanite jacket was as comfortable as it gets, but I think the LT is even better. I plan to also use the LT when I ski in warmer weather when a fleece is a bit too warm. Overall, I'm super happy with this jacket.
Light and comfy
Nice layering piece. High zip up collar is just the thing when turning into the wind.
