Disappointed
I bought 3 of these a 2 years ago and all 3 have failed due to the stoppers. The old design (mine is 40 years old) still holds water but these new stoppers literally don't hold water. They failed in different ways that makes me think Stanley products should be avoided period. Sad to see a great company self destruction like this...

Best benefit for me.

I love it so much. I bough it for everyday use. So I think its a bit too big for me for everyday use. But, here I have it already. I usually put warm water for my daily routine drinking. About 60 C and my water keep warming whole day till I back home from work. I am happy with it.

Cowboy gear.

Ah, the Classic Legendary Bottle. Ever since I saw John Dutton (Kevin Costner) twenty minutes into episode four, season one of Yellowstone, peeling the duck tape off the bottom of one to start a fire, I wanted it immediately. Having finally gotten my hands on it I've used it every day since. Having to back your hand away from the opening due to the rising steam, you first get a sense of how hot it keeps your coffee as soon as you start filling it. Half a day later I was reminded again at its ability to keep going when my cup was still hot. I can't wait to see the patina of nicks, dings, and scratches it will carry years from now. My sons will each be getting their own.

Doesn’t hold up

Got this for Christmas. Took it to nyc for a weekend new years trip to have access to hot cocoa throughout the day. The top cap completely peeled off and did not even last a single weekend. Pretty disappointed given the price.

Stopper issue

I bought this with the expectation that you went off of the specs for the classic series 1.4 but in reality you didn't there is no pour through stopper but you advertise it as having a pour through stopper. I am trying to resolve this issue but have had great difficulty. The pictures even show a pour through stopper. As the only reason why I gave it the rating I did other than the stopper this is Rock Solid

Almost great, but tool required

I love the thermos and it works well. I would love to put in dishwasher but I don't since it might mess with the coated finish. The only minor negative is the handle was not fully attached when I got it. Thank God I did not fill with hot liquid! The two metal attachment pins were not fully pressed into the two bracket sleeves of the thermos. Luckily I had the perfect size of slip-jaw pliers to be able to lock those in enough so they stayed attached. It did take some time and a non-DIY person might have difficulty. This one perfectly fits 10cups of coffee (that is the coffee carafe amt) not sure if it really is 10cups though.

Built Tough (sorry Ford!)

This bottle is really built like a tank shell - its amazingly sturdy. The product also does what it advertises in terms of thermal properties. We boiled water, put it in the bottle, and opened it after 5 to 8 hours on our ski trips (2 occasions) - it was steaming hot each time. The lid being insulated keeps the heat in + is an extra cup. The 1.4L size is perfect for our family - kids loved their hot soup & hot chocolate.

Hot vs Warm

Had a 40 year old stanley thermos (the green one) that kept our coffee hot for 24 hours. This was our fourth stanley. We wanted a bigger thermos so we tried this one. It doesn't insulate as well as the older one so that was disappointing. Time will tell if it too is almost as indestructible as the earlier version.
