These were recommended to me for use in new ski touring boots. While they felt great at first, but once on the skins it didn't take long until I started feeling pain on the outer edge of both feet. The pain got so bad that I had to stop and remove the soles. I believe it has to do with the edge thickness of the lime colored shell. I contacted Sidas to get some advice or a recommendation for a better sole, but they never got back to me. I am very disappointed and will try another brand.
I bought a set, and liked them so much I bought another so I don't have to shift them around between boots. Warmest insole ever. Super comfortable; the wool layer keeps feet DRY. The insulation and reflective layer seem to work wonders. My feet get cold very easily. These help more than any insole I've ever tried, including Superfeet. Superfeet are really good, but these are warmer, by far.
SIDAS insoles are the best I've used. After a long history of foot ailments and pain, I always put insoles into all my shoes. These are the best as the Merino cover gives them a little extra cush, warmth and the underlying construction hits my arch just right. I use these in my running shoes and hiking boots. The best!
Took out the stock insoles with my favorite winter biking boots and used them to trace / trim the SIDAS 3Feet Merino Mid insoles to fit the boot. The merino + silver reflective membrane that makes up the footbed of these insoles is plush, but not so thick that it makes the shoes / boots fit tighter. Additionally, the merino + silver reflective membrane materials are warm and comfortable. However, the plastic molded arch supports (Mid height) turned out to be uncomfortable in my winter boots. I don't use arch supports normally, but was fitted with the Mid height insoles at my local REI based on the arch of my feet. I think if I was someone who normally wore arch supports or really needed them, these probably would have fit the bill perfectly. But for me, at the end of the day, I just wanted a solid and warm merino wool insole to replace the stock foam insole of my winter boots and this just didn't fit the bill.
Bought two pair at SLC REI over a month ago in anticipation of using them in ski boots for me and my wife.. Ended up putting them in my work boots and enjoying them daily. By far the best insole I have purchased.
I put these in my ski boots this season and have never been more comfortable while skiing. Great support and a perfect fit.
These fit my ski boots with minimal trimming. My old factory insoles were 5 years old and the padding was worn out. These aren't cushy, but neither were my old ones, so I didn't notice a big difference. I did notice however, my feet have been warm even when skiing in below zero weather. My feet are also less fatigued at the end of the day.
I tend to collapse inward toward my arches without the support. Got these awesome liners for my ski boots which keep my feet and knees happy!
I’ve used the medium volume beds approximately a dozen times. They provide good support and have improved the fit of my ski boots. The wool surface is warm and comfortable. So far, no issues with cold feet.
While the wool layer is thin these do seem to be warmer than the Green insoles I had previously in my backcountry ski boots.
