First, I have to say that I love Boulder Gear. I don't know of a better value in ski gear. I skied in the jacket last season, and was so impressed I bought the pants this season. While I haven't used the pants yet, I can tell the materials and craftsmanship are at least decent quality. My only disappointment about the pants is that they run a bit long. The inseam on the medium is 32". I'm 5'8", and the bottoms bunch up on my ski boots. I think the optimal height for these would be about 5'10" for a guy with a waist not much larger than 34". The company would do well to offer a short version of these pants. Until then, I'll enjoy these.
I ski. I'm not an amazing skier, but I'm a competent skier. I mostly ski on the not terribly harsh hills of Michigan, though I have spent some time skiing in CO. Somehow these pants ripped in the crouch halfway through the season. I paid $35 for some Costco ski pants that have lasted through 3 seasons and have only lost a button on them. I do like all the pockets, but if the seams are going to rip then it's just not worth it.
Bought these for our son going to CO to snow board for 1st time. He loved them. They kept him warm and dry, lots of falling, in the frigid temps there. 12/15-20/2022. They did so well for him that we just purchased a 2nd pair for our other son for to start his snowboarding adventures. They are 19 and 21.
