Not warm
I finally threw out these gloves after hoping something would miraculously change. I’ve tried using these for running and just wearing during chilly days. And of all for the gloves I have, these are the worst at keeping my fingers warm. I think these trap any sweat from your hands, which combined with overall not warm, creates a horrible product.
Grab on the go!
Lightweight The grib is great after a year its smoother but not peeling or anything like that To me the grip doesn't make it a colder glove when temps drop Black color absorbs sunlight which is nice during windy alpine running in windy conditions Buying a size smaller might help if you want to use your touchscreen phone Grippy security when holding a BD whippet
Comfortable gloves with weird fit.
Usually, gloves from BD fits me really well, but the Mont Blanc gloves has a weird fit. The fingers and the wind proof material on the back of the hand fits perfect while the stretchy material in the palm becomes bulky with excess material. This makes gripping and holding things a bit awkward, although the silicone offers great grip. The touch-screen compatible fabric on the end of the index finger and thumb is really, really slick and makes everything from handling zippers to opening wrappers really hard, which is more annoying than I would have imagined. The gloves breathes well and are quite warm, lightweight and comfortable, good for running in the winter but don't expect a nimble glove.
Love the right glove, left's silicon grip fell off
Right glove gets 5 stars, the left gets 2. So I'd give 2.5 stars if there was that option. I've had these for about a month and I have used them only for trail running/hiking with my BD Distance Carbon Z poles. They don't see daily use and after about the 5th sub 6 mile outing the left grip started detach from the thumb and index finger. These are warm enough for me down to 25 degrees and are a perfect match for the Carbon Z poles. I really really like these gloves when at 100%. I'd give a 5 star review if the grip lasted at least 6 months, but three weeks is too fast to unravel. I want to continue using them but the difference in feel now between the two gloves with the poles is too different.
Great glove
This glove is a fantastic fit and weight! I wear it for running in near freezing or just chilly walks with the dog
Great Contact Shell
Great inner liner. Go to contact layer for skinning to mountaineering.
Go-to Running Gloves
When the weather is anything from chilly to downright cold, these are my go-to running gloves (though admittedly, I live in an area with very mild winters). Fit is perfect, maybe a tad on the large size (I am a medium in most BD gloves, small in these for some reason). I've used them for runs, hikes, XC skiing and pretty much everything else, and the mix of warmth and dexterity are almost always spot on. Unless it's well below freezing, I find I'm warm enough in these, and the gloves never seem to get in the way.
Not warm
Not warm at all. My thin base layer gloves are warmer than these bigger ones. Will be returning
Great gloves for 3 seasons
This is my third pair of these gloves. They are great for scrambling, bushwhacking, and general mountain wear when you need to protect your hands, but don’t need a thicker glove for warmth. One downside to the new pair: the fingertip fabric on index finger and thumb were changed to a slippery nylon, the tips would be better in thin leather/synthetic that had better grip - since the gloves may often be used for scrambling where using your fingers on easy climbin
Perfect High Exertion Glove
For the people who hate sweaty hands! This became my go-to glove for high-output cold weather activities. Good for all but very cold and windy conditions. I usually switch to heavier gloves during transition to ski or on cold windy summits/ridgelines. The media finger tip material tore away over this year I've had them but I wasn't using it anyways and I used them maybe a hundred times. I am buying several more pairs at this great price.
