Good fit and comfortable for wide feet
I usually wear D width in runners due to a bunion so these fit great for wide feet and feel comfortable on long climbs. Got some blisters on my heel and one of my toes from descending the first couple times I wore them, but nothing some moleskin can't fix, and I prioritized warmth & fit for wide feet, which these checked the boxes on. I've tried on the La Sportiva Nepal's and they felt pretty tight out of the box. Once climbed Mt. Hood with a friend who was wearing the Nepal's and her feet were numb (forget the exact temp but it was windy and at most 20 degrees) while mine felt great.
Great for crag!
I love these boots for ice climbing at a crag, very sturdy and water resistant enough. I still get cold, but I think that's the nature of the game. With a chemical toe warmer in there I'm alright. I think these boots would be great for many people, however, I have found them uncomfortable for mountaineering - hiking in them is giving me blisters (on the heel) and ankle pain. I really wanted these to be perfect, but unfortunately I'm going to have to return them and try a different boot.
Very reliable
I absolutely loved these boots but had to part with them because the toe box was too low and was pressing on my toes in a weird way, cutting of the circulation… However, I do believe it might just have been the pair I got (only the right boot), because I rented these while climbing Mt. Shasta and did not experience this issue. Pros: they hold your foot in place, very comfortable - zero blisters, light Cons: toe box has low clearance
Warm and dry feet with no blisters.
Did some mountaineering in Mexico (Orizaba, Iztaccihuatl, La Malinche) and my feet continued to stay dry and warm. Previously had La Sportiva and had blisters on my heals after every climb or snowcamp. Very pleased I was able to climb over 13,000ft of gain and no blisters. Great for folks who have narrow feets and heals that are boney and frequently get blisters
