Fit is so big!! Had to buy a child's boot!!
I'm a women's size 8, which I ordered. These were so big, felt like I was wearing my ex-husband's size 13 shoes!! Clown feet appearance on me!!! Had to return. Went to a sports store, couldn't find any high rain boots there, and I mentioned how I wish the boots in kid's section were available for grown ups. She tells me sometime's a child's size 6 will fit a woman's size 8!!! Who knew!!! So I bought the child sized 6 boot because it fit perfectly!! And it was on sale (at almost half of what I paid for same style in grown-up sized boots)!! Wish the Bogs web site disclosed all this! Would have saved me lots of time and money!
Sizing issues but love them
I love these, they are comfortable and easy to slip on and off and lightweight. I feel they'll be great when it gets wet, cold, and muddy. I had a problem with sizing and had to exchange. I originally bought Sauvie Slip On Boot Painterly in a size 9 and after putting it on, I had a hard time removing it (I normally wear 8.5). So I decided to get the tall boot and was concerned about the calf width so I called and they told me it was 15 inches which wasn't listed on the website. I also purchased the Patch Slip Vjay (shoes) and had to exchange those for size 8 --- as the size 9 was more like a size 10.
Comfortable and Reliable
It's been roughly a month, and so far I've had great success with these. The boots are SO comfortable, but the width might be a bit too much for me in just one pair of socks. For cold weather, these + multiple pairs of wool socks is perfect. If you have narrow feet you may want to size down, or try before you buy. Glad there aren't seams along the edges and top; they seem to already be holding up so much better than my other boots of brand that shall not be named (rhymes with truck). Not slippery when I'm working on wet concrete, walking over rocky+grassy+muddy hills, or in the snow. The pull on feature is nice, and the width of the top is flexible which is perfect for my big calves. Easy to spray off after stepping in a cow pie :)
Great winter boots. Handles are super functional.
There are very practical, warm and functional. They fit well. I am an 8.5 to size 9 foot and the 9 fit well. I ended up returning them and keeping the insulated rain boots instead only because they were lighter on my feet to walk around, and for my needs, I didn't need something quite as heavy. I will likely at some point reorder these for winter fun and snowblowing and that sort of thing. They would be warmer and more practical for that use. Would recommend. My kids wore these all winter and never got cold or wet feet.
Love them. Prefer them to Mucks
This is my first pair of Boggs. I’ve always bought muck boots before this. i made the switch because i had some dividends and needed a new pair of boots for the winter while taking care of horse so far I love these! They’re very comfortable and fit beautifully. I prefer them to muck boots so far, but I’m not sure about durability yet. I will tell you that I usually kill my muck boots by rubbing out the heel on the inside of the boot and these actually have a little extra padding there which is a good sign to me!
Warm and completely waterproof
This is a great waterproof insulated winter boot. Good traction on ice and completely waterproof when submerged. The front center rubber that connects to the neoprene started to peel away after a few weeks of wearing them, but did not affect the integrity of the boot until after two winters of heavy use. I hiked through snow in these boots almost every day before the neoprene tore completely, so I expect they would last three winters just using them for typical street walking and outdoor chores.
Not what I expected
The boots were advertised as Winter boots but they were basically just rain boots. I did order a size up but the size you normally order will fit. They were quite large but that is my fault for ordering up. There are liners inside which can be taken out if you have a wide foot. I actually found some other Bogs at a local store and after taking out the liners they fit really well. The return went really well thanks to a fantastic guy in Montreal who helped me out at the main warehouse!
Survives Wisconsin farm winter work, Get them!
My fourth pair of Bogs, because of their reliability and because I wear them on a working farm. Nice height, calf allows for my thick muscled calves, easy on/off, and kudos to the new features of a more substantial firm outer sole tread and a good inner sole arch support system to make the boot fit my feet much better. I am skeptical that these will be warm to -58 Fahrenheit as noted on the description (I hope to never test that condition) but they are the warmest pair of winter chore boots I have owned in 65 years. I tested them in the recent Wisconsin Christmas storm blast of 2022 and my feet were not entirely comfortable if I wasn't moving all the time (should have worn a wool sock), BUT that is hopefully an unusual extreme. Long live Bogs! and may their industrial designers continue to innovate.
so far, so good!
I use my Bogs for farming. I've had them for about a month now. 10+ hours a day on my feet in the hot sun. Will say that the boots are rather warm in the summertime (I wear wool socks to wick the sweat which makes it not too bad, but not super ideal)...However, these boots are super cushy and comfortable and my feet have not felt tired after a long day wearing them compared to my other rainboots!! Overall, I'm quite pleased with them. They feel sturdy and I like walking in them.
