Great sweater!
This is definitely expensive but it’s well worth it. I did buy it on sale which helped but I can’t wait to buy a second one. I hope they come out with more colors. I bought the red shade and its very versatile. I wear it hanging out with friends, and I LOVE wearing it as a mid layer for snowboarding, hiking, camping in cold weather, and xcountry skiing. I’m 5’4, 125 lbs and I bought a small. They quality is excellent..I’ve washed it numerous times, but I let it air dry and it’s still looking like new!
don't want to take it off
happened to find this on sale at the store. love love love! should have bought two. I have been wearing it non-stop. it fits true to size for me. i got an XL, fits over the hips fine and the sleeves long enough. the neckline doesnt stretch too well, but that's ok so it can keep its shape. im 5'10, 170lbs
Comfy!
This is a comfortable sweater/sweatshirt (which I write because it's really in between). I feel I am able to wear this to work in a business casual environment (more casual than business) but it might really be on the edge for some. It's super comfortable! I tend to have a hard time finding Long Sleeves that are actually long enough, this one works!
Great quality and "around town" option.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This is a great top and a much more stylish fleece option for around town. Really love the quality and I think the photos, colour (Athena Grey Heather) and description are accurate. They don't mention in the description that the inner neck lining (it doesn't show) is also made with the same fabric as the pocket which makes it very comfortable. I am normally wear a small but purchased medium for a more relaxed look. As always, Arc'teryx comes through and they are my go to items for many situations.
Warm and cozy
This is a high-quality, warm, and cozy sweater; I wore it all the time in the winter. The fit is generally also great. I only wish that the sweater was a little longer. I have a long torso and I find that most Arc'teryx clothing is too short on me.
Cozy and Cute
Perfect sweater. Cozy. Soft. Cute. Great for hanging at home to be in something soft and warm but attractive to wear with jeans and boots going out. Love this sweater!!
Very long sleeves
Very nice, comfy and warm. Sleeves are very long. I wonder who they make these arms for???
Back to Buy Another Color
I love this sweater! It’s so soft and warm, with a generous fit width-wise. I’m 5’ 11” so I was intrigued when another reviewer mentioned the sleeves being too long. (I always look for someone to say that in a review as my signal to buy — LOL!) Eh, I think the sleeves are pretty average in length, so not really what I was hoping for. Clearly not a dealbreaker, though, as I’m back to purchase another color. It’s a very high-quality product.
NOT Wool, NOT Technical Outdoor Functionality
My son gave me this top for Christmas, and I don't want him to know how disappointed I am in this Arc'teryx product. I'm sure he read the name and subtitle of the sweater, which says, "COVERT SWEATER WOMEN'S Clean, casual lines and technical performance fleece combine in a wool sweater with everyday styling." It's too bad he bought this before reading the fine print, which clarifies that the Covert Sweater is made of "Alpenex II™ heathered fleece to create a technical jacket with the elegant look of wool. The polyester fabric has a brushed back knit that is engineered to provide versatile warmth and comfort." I would also argue that this is not a "technical jacket." It is difficult to take off as an outer layer during winter activities, and is too warm as a mid-layer. I like the look of this sweater, but am very disappointed in its performance as an outdoor layer. If it hadn't been a gift, I would have returned it.
Second one I have bought
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Recently I bought a second Covert sweater. I liked the first one so much which I bought in winter of 2020 that I bought a second one. I wear a medium in Arcteryx tops and this fits just fine. I like the way they look after washing them. I hang dry all of my Arcteryx clothes. The covert top is more stylish than a regular sweat shirt.
