Awkward straps
I've been using this backpack for 3 months now, and although I love the color and simplicity of the design, I've found numerous flaws that makes this bag not work for me. The straps are widely set, so I'm constantly having to readjust them closer so as not to slip off my shoulders. If it wasn't for the magnetic straps that connect the two shoulder straps, this backpack would never stay on me. Also, as a school teacher, I like having the many small compartments that are typically part of the classic Timbuk2 design. Unfortunately, this bag has only a large compartment for a small laptop/notebook and a small pocket in the front that doesn't fit much. It's a super cute bag, but just not an ideal school/work bag for me.
awkwardly comfortable
I use this bag to carry my office work and laptop. On the weekends it serves well as a tote bag to add on my shopping or to store my items. The straps that are around the bag are excellent for hanging thins, like a sweater that you may want to have easy access too. The one weird thing about this bag are the straps. I found that they sit too broadly on my shoulders. I've adjusted the strap length several times and can't seem to find a good position to have the straps lay comfortably on my shoulders.
Awkward Straps, Despite Nice Design
I ended up returning this after using it for a few hours. The straps are very awkward and slipped or dug. Another reviewer commented on this. I am 5'3", and even adjusted the strap length and width three times. I only carried a very slim 13" laptop and wallet and the straps were not comfortable at all. Other that that, I did like the two straps on the top, the color, and overall appearance, but again, returned after one wear.
Great versatile backpack
I love this backpack! It’s lightweight yet has some structure to it (doesn’t collapse when you put it down), has plenty of room and two secure bottle/stuff holders on the outside. I wish the tote handles were a little longer to make it easier to carry on my shoulder, but I can still get one of them over my shoulder. I agree with other reviews that the backpack straps sit wide, but I think it’s comfortable.
Just too handy to live without
I use this bag for errands, light shopping, and just walking around town when I need to carry a few things. (Typical load: compact trekking poles, water bottle, jacket and/or 2 items of clothing.) I use this as a day pack when I travel overseas -- it flattens to no more than 1" thick. I appreciate that the straps are relatively widely spaced for a small pack. (I'm a guy who wears L and XL shirts.)
A nice bag pack that doesn't sit properly on shoulders
I really like the backpack it self but the shoulder straps sit extremely awkward, too wide, slips off shoulders. It's almost as if Timbuk2 designed a great backpack but didn't actually try it on. If I didn't throw away the tags and receipt I would return this
