Best down jacket I've ever worn

I've had this jacket for a few weeks now and I have worn it every single day. It's so lightweight I wouldn't think twice about packing it for a trip. and it's still very warm! I live in Colorado where the winters are dry, but we had a very cold February. I wore it on a single-digit morning while walking to work and I felt very warm and cozy! It's not bulky at all and it fits very well. It's not very breathable, so over-heating is very possible, but as a person who is always cold, I don't mind! I bought an XS (5'4" 115 lbs) but I can still layer a fleece underneath and feel comfortable. The jacket blocks out wind and wintery conditions very well! The purple color is so pretty too.

I like it but it's thinner and puffier than I thought

I will be mostly using this product as a light jacket in the fall and spring. I live in the Yukon and it gets cold here, therefore, this jacket could not be an all-around puffy jacket as was described in the product description. From the pictures, I was under the impression that the jacket would have a lot more feathers but it is actually very very light. I think that the large feather pockets create the bulky look which is to me very misleading since the coat is thin. It would make a good liner to a shell, and I will probably take it camping with me as it really does pack into a small ball.

Good, light puffy but not warm enough for winter

The womens transcendent hoody is a great jacket if you want a light down jacket that is good for fall/mild winters and that packs up small for backpacking. The hood is adjustable and there are three lined pockets with one of them doubling as a stuff sack. In early fall, in 25-30 degree weather, I was cold with this puffy, a thermal base layer, and wool jacket underneath. Layering an additional rain jacket or windbreaker on top would have made it decent for high 20s-30 degree weather. The quality is great and customer services is phenomenal. This particular jacket is just not as warm as comparable jackets and I was looking for a jacket that could keep me warm with layers on for the coldest winter months.

Warmer than I thought and I love it!

I bought this jacket and the Helium jacket at their warehouse sale back in February. The Helium jacket has 800 down whereas this jacket has 650. The Transcendent jacket is much warmer than the Helium jacket. I love it! I find the loft in this jacket creates much more warmth. It's super easy to pack it down. It is a little delicate in terms of the outside lining and feathers do tend to come out more frequently than the Helium. I love this jacket so much, I'm looking to buy it again so I can use my current one for drunken camping nights and the other for mountaineering.

Really nice blue. Pretty warm but do need to add layers with negative temps. Very lightweight!

Disappointed

Not particularly happy with this jacket. I wore it for this last winter season just casually, nothing hardcore, and it already has holes forming. The lining gets stuck in the pocket zippers all the time, one time it was so stuck it took ten minutes to get my keys out of the pocket. I'm a short person and I feel like this jacket could be an inch or two longer, it was always riding up higher than I liked and exposing my lower back. Also, if you're being active and sweating the pit stains are visible which I've never seen in a down jacket before. I will say it kept me warm in sub-freezing temps with a wool layer underneath and it is really cute. I will be retiring the jacket to get beat up in the field now and finding something else for next winter.

Great every day, and then some

This jacket is great as an everyday warmth layer during the winter season. The cozy hood, easy waistband cinching and fleece-lined pockets make this great to warm up even during windy conditions. The fabric finish repels a light drizzle, which is great if you get caught out in the rain, and this jacket is light enough to layer under a rain shell when the rain becomes more serious. I'm so excited to have this extra layer in my collection. Bonus: the contrasting colors work great, both on the trail, and to stand out in the city.

Very awesome coat

Bought this for my wife as I have the men's version and find it to be very warm and comfortable (almost too warm to wear in the car while out on cold days). Very light and durable. We ordered her a large as we were concerned about layering and sleeve length (average torso but challenge finding fitting clothes with longer arms). Large ended up being too big as layering wasn't really required with this coat so we opted for the medium and the fit was spot on. Definitely would recommend this coat to anyone thinking about it.
