Just don’t
Do not waste your money on these. I was excited to upgrade to carbon wheels to give em a go and see how big the difference really is. I regret my decision now, on the 2nd ride ever and 3rd run down the mountain my rear rim folded like a piece of paper on a super gentle g-out. Once this happened I started doing some research and quickly found nothing but complaints online of the EXACT THING happening to everyone. for 650$ this rear wheel should be able to smash a gentle slope and come out of it unscathed, it’s advertised as an enduro wheelset for Christ sakes, what do you think the trails consist of at enduros? Marshmellows? Do not buy this wheelset unless you enjoy spending 1200$ just to smash it within the week, and have trek decide whether or not they feel you you deserve a new one because of their own manufacturing flaws.
Solid Wheel for a Great Price
I have two sets of these carbon wheels on two different bikes and they have worked flawlessly. I have not experienced any of the issues that are stated in the other review here. I first used the Line Pro 30 on my Fuel EX and was able to ride it everywhere from my local XC trails to the Crested Butte Bike Park without incident. I have also been running 29x2.6 tires and got used to a lower. This resulted in a few rock impacts in Colorado. I was concerned I had done damage, but nothing resulted from any of the impacts and I gradually increased my pressure in order to limit those occurences. I now have these wheels on my Trek Slash and have used them on our local DH trails, again, without issue. Lastly, Bontrager has a carbon crash replacement warranty so that if I do wreck something, they are there to issue a replacement at the approriate cost depending on how the wheel failed. I am a 180lb aggresive trail rider.
