So far so good after 1 summer of canoe trips
As comfortable as possible loaded with 31 lbs of food and wine! Best solo food pack I have used in 6 years of BWCA canoe tripping. I love not having to deal with extra waterproof lining. Also excellent as a day pack for canoeing and hiking. It could be improved by adding pocket for fuel container/large water bottle. These things end up hanging by clips, which is inconvenient compared to pocket. I will likely purchase another.

Quality Control
The right hand waist strap slipped out of the buckle attached to the pack where it should have been cinched up properly. I have only had this pack for a month and have not put it through any undue stress. I expect better then this as I have used SeaLine products in the past with no issues.

Came with hole in the bottom

Similar to another review, I ordered this and it came with a hole in the bottom along the seam the size of a popcorn kernel. First trip out with it, and everything inside was soggy. I'm sure REI and/or Sealline will replace or refund for it, but the quality control on these or a batch of these was not adequate. That's a bummer because otherwise, it seems like a great product and minus the hole I'd love to use one!

Great bag for day trips

I used this dry bag as my 'day bag' on a 49 day canoe trip in the northeast. It did great and kept everything dry perfectly fine. I love this size for easy access to my snacks, first aid kit, and to store an extra layer or two during the day. I also use it if I am going for a day trip canoeing.

Sub par from older bike model, but still best option out there for bike commuting.

Slightly smaller variant of their older bike specific model which lasted almost ten years of daily use and travel. Great and more practical alternative to their bike specific one. Pack and forget, regardless the weather. Dries essentially immediately upon departing precipitation. Subpar their older, but still the best real world daily commuter bag out there for the bike. Tried a few and returned to this one. Light, simple, tough.

Perfect size for day outings!!

I love the size. I have a North Star canoe/kayak and this 30 liter pack was just what I was looking for. I do day outings and this is the perfect size for day trips to hold everything from first aid, tarp for emergency shelter, navigation, photographer, binoculars, and food. Just put everything in, close the top, and everything is dry and safe. Make sure you attach it securely to your kayak or canoe.

Works well

I have had mine for a couple of years now. It works as advertised and has held up well, there is no visible wear to the bag and it is still airtight. I use mine for a pack boat day pack. I can carry my boat and a full day’s gear in one trip from the car or when portaging around strainers or other obstacles. I probably would never use it as a hiking pack just due to the abuse I would subject it to.

Perfect Travel Bag

I was looking for a new carry on travel backpack that would be waterproof and durable. This thing is perfect. The shoulder straps are sufficiently comfortable, the material is tough, and the external lashing on the back side is a nice bonus. I've dunk tested the bag and contents stayed dry. This will be a great travel carry on that will work for me for day hiking, beach time, kayaking, etc.

Awesome mid-size bag

I purchased this for marine field work. I use it daily to carry gear to intertidal sites and for open-boat travel in all weather conditions. I've only had it for 2 months, but it has survived, without any obvious wear, slight dragging on jagged rocks and carrying heavy loads, all while keeping my gear dry. The volume and dimensions are an excellent 'all around' mid-size for day use. It is slightly bigger than the small urban backpack, fitting lots of gear, but smaller than the 35L boundary bag, so it doesn't feel sloppy when not full. The outside cord is great for wet gear (post surf, or soaked rain gear) and the clip at the end is a fantastic touch to keep it all neat. To make this bag perfect for me, I would add an inside pocket and optional back panelling for structure. I was also surprised at the bag material. I was expecting/hoping for the same burly material as the older boundary bags, but it is thinner.

Lightweight

I use this puppy to carry my wetsuit down to the beach. So far so good. Really nice shoulder straps. Gets kinda sweaty if you wear it with no shirt. I bought it cause it’s made in the USA and I’d do it again for that reason alone
