Well Built and very reliable
I purchased this stove at the end of 2019 and it has never failed me or given me any issues since. It’s well built, easy to clean, and the adjustable feet have been a great feature that has made my friends jealous. I have used this stove in all conditions and it has handled all of it well. The only possible area of improvement would be to make it hotter. But that’s not to say it’s lacking power in anyway and its output has never been an issue but there are hotter stove. On the flip side this stove simmers pretty well. So, overall, I would highly recommend this stove.
That blue though
I love this stove! We finally upgraded from our one-burner and it was worth it. Very reasonable price for a highly functioning dual-burner stove, always starts, the wind shield is effective, great color, cute little insert for your hand that makes it easier to carry. Best addition to my camping kitchen game.
Half start for company. Lack of proper packaging
First item arrived damaged…then replacement arrived without a box and damaged as well. This is just disrespectful!!
A definite must have!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Simply put this stove is amazing! At first I was unsure and feared it would be cheap and flimsy like most. There is nothing flimsy or cheap feeling about this one. It’s super nice and heavy duty, even if you don’t go camping or cook outside it’s great to have especially if you live in an area that is prone to power outages. I live in Texas and this is one of those things that’s a must. The color is absolutely gorgeous I love it. It’s super easy to use and seems like it’ll last a good while.
Great stove with some design issues
I would really like to rate this stove much higher but in comparison to the 20+ year old stove I was using, it needs some design improvements. As I mentioned, my previous stove is a 20+ year old 10K BTU 2-burner Hillary by Sears. I don't even remember when I got it. The primary reasons for replacing it are burner control and size. The burner controls are absolute garbage as can be expected from something this old. The burners are basically full blast or just under. No simmer control at all. The size is fairly normal but the burners are so close to the sides of the stove I couldn't use larger pans. Where the Eureka Ignite Plus excels is in both of these areas. The burners are well placed and I can easily accommodate two 12" pans. The burner control is fantastic. Simmer ability so low you can barely even see the flame and hot enough to boil a pot of water in minutes. Where the Eureka falls short (in my opinion) is in the following areas where it is bested by 20yo tech. The gas pipe. What is the deal with these? Using a solid, inflexible pipe basically adds 8" to the width needed to support the stove. It seems virtually all camp stoves moved to this design. I hate it. My Hillary has a rubber hose that stores under the grate and out of the way, and allows me to put the gas cylinder ANYWHERE I need to . The Eureka pipe needs to be removed for storage and there is no place to put it. Left under the grate I imagine it will slide around and scratch the drip pan and possibly damage the burners. I put it in an old sock. The lid flops open if not attached to the wind screens. My Hillary lid is designed so that it doesn't flop open if not attached to the wind screens. The wind screens use a T slot to attach to the lid. They aren't secure. My Hillary uses a spring clip design which securely attaches the screens to the lid. The grate on the Eureka can only be fully installed or fully removed. The Hillary grate can simply be tilted up to store the hose or clean the drip pan. Other areas the Eureka is better are the igniter. Having been using a lighter to start my stove for the past 2 decades, the igniter is pretty cool. The adjustable feet. First time using the stove I needed these feet. Sadly they need to be removed to store the stove in the box, but my old Hillary needed rocks or sticks for leveling.
Two thumbs up
My old Coleman’s died and I was Looking for a more powerful stove, after looking at some high output stoves and reading reviews on their poor flame adjustment I came across this one. I like the wider top, I can put two med-large pans on at same time. The heat is way more than enough, boils water and gets coffee percolating as fast as home stove. Flame control is great and easily adjustable from high too very low. This stove is a keeper and I’m glad I spent a few extra dollars for it.
Poor build quality
Build quality is poor. Haven't actually used it yet, but it feels cheap and is definitely assembled cheaply. The shiny metal surface is not fitted properly onto the body of the stove. It hangs off one side and has a sharp overhang. You can also see the paint scratched off the body of the stove where that top surface was improperly installed. Finally, both latches arrived completely off or dangling by one end from the stove. I had to re-attach them and squeeze them together with pliers.
Lasted 3 years
I bought this for everday use about 3 years ago, so its gotten a lot of regular use. First just to say I've been fairly happy with it up til now. After the first week of use I finally figured out the left side burner can adjust to lower flame than right and that this is an actual feature. I also figured out the the metal pan beneath burners can't be removed so things that fall in the cracks are not removable. Not that big a deal for outdoor use, but still.... The nickel grate, after 3 years of use (3000 hours or so) has severely corroded from flame, and just today the edge of the left burner corroded so that flame went into the inner part of stove. A picture would be worth 1000 words, but basically its not fixable. So, mixed feelings. Got good use from it, but 3000 hours of cooking (at most) should not signal the end to a stove. Now I'm in search for a really good high quality one, even if I have to pay a lot.
Seems operationally solid. VERY loud.
Went on our first weekend camp trip since purchasing the Ignite Plus. After being on for a minute or two, it invariably would start screaming (see video... or hear it, rather). Operationally, the stove seems very good. It starts up without issues, and it heats whatever pot/pan you put over its flame. Pretty much what you want a camp stove to do. And the wind blinds are sturdy and don't feel like they'll fold or tilt unexpectedly. Functionally, I like it a whole lot. But that noise is insane. I've seen it mentioned by other owners both here and elsewhere, and if I can't find get a clear answer as to its cause or remedy, I'm unfortunately not keeping this stove—which I honestly love otherwise.
Small yet powerful
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this. I love how it collapses down into just a few inches tall with a built in carry handle The legs screw into the bottom and can be adjusted to a comfortable height and stability. Easily assembled if you call attaching four screw in legs and the gas valve as assembly. The pop up sides did a great job of blocking the wind we get here The two burners are separated enough so you can fit two pretty large pans or pots on the burner. I like the front knobs and they easily adjust the flame. Easy to ignite with the push switch- two clicks and done. We cooked two sunny side up eggs in a matter of minutes!! I am looking forward to taking this with us on our camping trip this summer!! And I LOVE the blue color!!
