15 amp service will not run very much at all. Not your furnace, stove or refrigerator. If you are going to feed your house wiring, it would be better to get a 50amp or higher generator and wire it in with a proper transfer switch. You can run a furnace, refrigerator, lights and a couple other appliances on that. Consult an electrician before attempting to hook this up.

Peace of mind now for power outages.

I just installed the home integration kit, Yeti 1400, Yeti Link and two Expansion Tanks in my garage. Ran a test and the fridge will run for about 3 days without charging! California's Fires are unpredictable. Glad I bought it!!

Nicely done with the HIK!

I really love the extra time I save not having to string long extension cables from a 120v appliance to my Yeti 3000. I just wish GZ made a 6 or 8 breaker box to give homeowners more option on which part of their house they want to 'juice-up.' :) Good work, GZ crew!

Useful for when you need it

I bought this along with the Yeti 3000 last year when they had their summer sale. After sitting around 6 months of being lazy and not installing it, my dad and I installed in an afternoon. Super easy install if you have any knowledge of electricity. Directions in the box were super easy to follow too so that was a plus. I have this wired to four separate circuits in my house in order to run a fridge, a chest freezer, and my office since I work from home. Last week my local electric company had an equipment failure issue and was without power for about 9 hours. In about 5 minutes I walked to my electric panel and plugged up the Yeti to the box and flipped the switches to run off the battery. Worked like a charm. It runs my fridge, my chest freezer, and my work equipment with no problem. I also had a portable Dometic fridge that is currently running since I needed extra fridge space to store groceries due to COVID and this thing along with the Yeti 3000 had no problems running all this. It drew at most 400 watts at a time and around 250 watts when the compressors were not running. I had my boulder 100 solar panels hooked up, bringing in about 100-200 watts. This will not run higher amperage appliances but I didn't need it to but if you are looking for just a backup for a few things around the house this will work great.

Fantastic kit for our home

We had this kit installed on Friday and it is powering our entire home (3br/2ba) with the 3000 connected!! The only items not powered are the 240v appliances (stove, dishwasher, dryer, water heater). Our french-door fridge pulls 130 watts and the furnace 780 watts (when it runs). The family is enjoying an "off-the-grid" weekend as we continue to test it out. So far, so great!

Great functionality and peace of mind

Couldn't be more pleased. We've already taken the 1500 on two weekend outings to power the simple things (like fresh coffee). And with it being the fall season, I've also used it to power my electric leaf mulcher out in the backyard. When not being used, we keep it in place atop the 4 additional batteries for peace of mind if ever needed.

Nice addition

Made sense to do because was having the electric panel replaced. Had been using a Yeti 1000 to power all lawn care tools for a few years. This is a good addition but a few things to keep in mind. It only has 4 slots and those can only do the lower amperage circuits. Now this is not much of a downside primarily because even if you could power things like 2 AC units in SE Texas these Yeti batteries would not last long. Maybe a few hours tops. One of the other reviewers suggests there are "off the grid" except for x, y & z -- the biggest e pulls -- meaning this doesn't get you off the grid. And again, even if it did, the Yeti batteries would only last a few hours. Overall, a very good value. As in my case, I already had the Yeti battery and as setup able to both (1) have a short term generator that allows some lights and outlets in an outage, and (2) electricity reduction from solar, for example able to power wifi and TV essentially unlimited.

Equipment

I haven’t been able to use it at all the electrician installed it great and I’m hoping when I truly need it it’s going to work. Everything came in equipment except I wish they would’ve put in the cord for to be able to do the solar to the battery an extra long cord since it’s installed because it has to go outside but other than that everything was great. It came on time so I’m just waiting to actually use it and then I can come back and give another star.

Doubtful at first but after install, it's great!

My purpose was to provide backup power for my fridge when the power goes out for a few hours or a day. It's a bonus to get other things like my WIFI AP, surveillance cameras and TV, etc. After install, this works great! I have a French Door fridge (big) and it backs up within 8 hours without problems. I got the YETI 1000. I added garage door opener and some other random circuits. Highly recommend!

Yeti Home Integration Kit

I have a Yeti 1500 that I use for portable power when camping and running corded tools around the property. I had our home electrical service upgraded and the Yeti Home Intergration Kit installed. I now have a backup for 4 circuits in my home. Our refrigerator on one, our gas fired furnace on another. The 2 other circuits are used for wall plugs. The electricians said the install was easy to do.
