Sizing Notes
Measurements are stated in inches unless otherwise indicated. Size chart values represent body measurements, not garment measurements. Some women's pants are available in petite and tall sizes. Typically petite sizes fit women 4'11" to 5'3". Regular sizes fit women 5'4" to 5'8". Tall sizes fit women 5'9" to 5'11".
PETITE: Generally, as compared to regular sizes, petite sizes are 2.5 inches shorter in inseam, 1 inch shorter in body length, 1.25 inches shorter in sleeve length and Âľ inch shorter in total rise.
TALL: tall sizes are 3 inches longer in inseam, 2 inches longer in body length, 2.5 inches longer in sleeve length and 1.25 inches longer in total rise.
Capri or cropped pants have an intentionally shorter inseam—reference the technical specs instead of this chart.
Inseam is measured to the floor.

Impressed!!
I really hate buying pants online, I would so much rather try them on especially if I might be in between sizes based on the size chart. I'm 5' 2" 120lbs and have had pants labeled 0 through 6 fit me so I never trust the number! I bought size 2 petite with the short inseam after reading some other reviews, and hallelujah they fit amazing! My only complaint, like some others, is the way the pockets are. They are nice big pockets which I like, but a little too much fabric and they fold/pucker and give your hips kind of a funny shape, I just pinned them a little and they look better! They pack down decently small, fabric is soft and a little stretchy, I love the slim leg fit that doesn't get in the way of my shoes and isn't as tight as leggings (mosquito defense haha).
mostly great except for the pockets
The fabric of these pants is great for hiking, especially in warm weather. The petite cute mostly fits great (I'm 5'1, 120 lbs and I wear a size 4). They fit low on the waist/high on the hip. They are not too right in the rear. The leg width is just right -slim fit but not tight like leggings. The inseam length is a tad long on me but the bottom hem is easy to fold up. My only gripe is the pockets don't sit flat. The photos of the product online all have the model with her hands in the pockets. No wonder. The pockets flare out. It's mildly annoying but the fit is right for me in every other way so I'm going to keep them. I might add a button or a tack to the pockets to keep them mostly closed.
Best pants EVER!
REI -- PLEASE bring these back in the regular sizes! I bought a few pair last year and have fallen deeply in love. These fit perfect, are amazingly comfortable, and are absolutely ideal for hiking AND for casual wear when jeans are maybe just a bit too casual. For example, I've worn these on trips where I was able to easily hit the trail during the day and still wear (a fresh pair of) these out for dinner in the evening, and just this summer I've worn these for the day at two different conferences where the fit and comfort of these were perfect for "hiking" around a convention center all day and still look great for dinner/evenings out with colleagues and friends. I've not worn them at work yet, but could easily do so on more casual days during the summer and on Fridays when I don't have to be in a suit. Please -- PLEASE -- bring these back in all sizes and in more colors! I need more of these in my life!
Amazing fit and super comfortable!
I love these pants! I can never find comfy hikers that aren't too long and that come in a slim leg cut. I also don't usually buy when I can't try on, but these pants turned out great. They have a good amount of stretch to accommodate my movement, yet stay put and the length was perfect. I am 5'3" 118, athletic build and I ordered a 0P. I wasn't sure the petite would work for me because I'm more leg than torso (inseam around 30.5" from crotch to floor), but they are perfect. Another concern I had with the petite is that sometimes the same size in petite is smaller everywhere. Not so with these.I think it is true to size. Fits the same as the 0 regular (which I also tried on), just a little shorter inseam.
My new hiking go to pants!
First time buyer and very impressed. Used these during a hike thru Devils Lake. They were beyond comfortable, I had full range movement and they were super durable while I climbed rocks and trees. I could just wipe the dirt right off which made it easy to grab dinner afterwards without feeling gross.
You need these pants!!!
My pants just came in yesterday and I’m so excited! I bought them solely based off of the good reviews I saw for the non-petite sized version. I’m 5’, 145lbs and I have very muscular legs/booty so I got a 6. They are stretchy and I feel like I could have gotten a 4, MAYBE. I never buy pants without trying them on first but these have the perfect shape. They’re light and stretchy and I planned on wearing them hiking but today I am attempting to wear them to work with a blouse and be business casual. I think they’re sleek and very versatile.
The best (& most versatile!) hiking pants ever!
Fit: These pants fit so nicely! They run true to size. I’m usually a 4 and a 4 petite fit perfectly with a little extra space in the waist, which is exactly how most pants fit me. Nothing a belt can’t fix! Function: These were so comfy and cool on a hot day on the trail. They are crazy flexible so I was easily able to climb over a fallen tree with my toddler on my back. The pants gave me very full range of motion! They were also sweat/moisture wicking and kept me really dry. The pants also air dry VERY quickly, since they’re so light! Style: I adore the way these look. They look much better in person than on the model in the photos. The high quality fabric and refined finishes have me thinking I would even wear these pants for a desk job. They are so comfortable and look so polished! I was also concerned because I really wanted my hiking pants to have a tapered leg and these definitely do. They’re not fitted by any means, but you don’t look boring and shapeless either. They’re really cute rolled up with a pair of stylish sneakers or sandals! Overall, if you’re looking for a hiking pant that is flattering, functional and comfortable, look no further. :) Please ignore my weird mom stomach in the photos. Lol
10/10 would recommend
When I tried these on, they were a godsend! The heavens sang! Honestly, these are so comfortable and good-looking. I just bought one pair and I’m dying to get another. And these are perfect for shorter girls like me (5’1”). I’m usually a size 6 in pants. I tried on a 4 and they fit, but could be a little bigger. I tried on an 8 because they didn’t have a 6 in store and they were perfect! They stretch in the best ways and so the sizes seem forgiving.
Petite fit is a little off
These pants are okay. I'm 5'1" and they are a tad long on me (not so much that I dedicted stars for it). I roll the hem up twice and they graze my ankle at length. As with most petite pants, there is a tad bit of weird fabric bunching issues in the rise of the pants -- why I gave them an average rating. I do like the fabric quite a bit - it move with you and has just the right amount of stretch. They are not as light as I expected and are a tad too warm for my taste on a warm or hot day. I wear them a lot, though wouldn't necessarily buy them again.
Comfy pants - runs large, inconvenient pockets
Based on the other reviews I was hoping to LOVE these pants. I do really like them, but they aren't perfect. -They're a little thicker than my other soft-shell hiking pants so they're great for windy/breezy weather, but definitely get sweaty in hotter temps. - I'm 5'3" 110lbs, and the 2 petite was still long, so I needed to roll up the bottoms. This looks cute, but is inconvenient for hiking as mud/debris ended up in the rolled portion of the pants. I also could have easily sized down to a 0 and that would likely fit the waste better and reduce bagginess. - The hip pockets are cut terribly, everything falls out of them when walking. I usually carry a pocket knife, chapstick and my phone in my pockets and this was a struggle. Overall I think they'll be good casual pants but I wouldn't recommend them for hiking, and if in doubt size down.
