Sizing Notes
Measurements are stated in inches unless otherwise indicated. Size chart values represent body measurements, not garment measurements.
SHORT: Some pants are available in short sizes, which generally means an inseam that is 2.5 inches shorter than regular sizes.
TALL: Some pants, shirts, jackets and parkas are available in tall sizes, which generally means an inseam that is 3 inches longer and a rise that is 1 inch longer, a shirt or jacket body that is 2 inches longer, a parka body that is 2.5 inches longer and sleeves that are 2.5 inches longer than regular sizes.
Capri or cropped pants have an intentionally shorter inseam—reference the technical specs instead of this chart.
Inseam is measured to the floor.

Secret pocket!
These are a good mix of durable and cool. I got them before a trip through Central America and they were great: very comfortable in hot weather without feeling like they are going to fall apart. Consequently, they don't seem to stretch much through wear or wash. After a month I noticed one of the pockets had an extra seem on it, which lead to a secret pocket for your mobile phone! So that bumped up my rating from pretty good to pretty awesome.
Best shorts ever
I love my new shorts. I am only 5' 6" tall and these are probably the first shorts my wife has not had to hem. The material is looks great and yet I purchased them to wear as working shorts because the fabric appeared to be not flimsy.
Trailsmith shorts
My husband got these shorts for everyday wear, not necessarily for hiking but they’d be get for either. Well made, look great, true to size, comfortable and they wear well and are easy care shorts. Highly recommend.
Good shorts but description is incorrect
Overall these shorts look and feel good, but a little disappointed that the product does not match the website description. Please be aware that the actual product is 100% cotton, and there is no gusseted crotch. They work for what i wanted them for, but wish i had that few % of spandex. Great shorts for the clearance price. Regular price? probably not.
Bad Sizing
Nice shorts. Too bad they run WAY too small for the size. DON'T FIT.
