Happy with these

I have historically been a fan of the 2n1 shorts w/ inner spandex to avoid thigh chafing but I took the plunge and bought these. Wore them on a 12 mile trail run and no chafing, and liked the light feel compared to 2n1 shorts. The inner brief didn't ride up either. Great functional pockets, fits my big phone, ID, keys + room for gels etc. Flattering fit. I measure in at a size 4 based on the recommended size chart from Oiselle but went with the 2 because they were more flattering and less extra fabric at the legs to ride up. I wear a size 2 in their shirts too - 4'11" 112 pounds w/ athletic build.

Holds my phone

This is my first summer running. Have lots of leggings with thigh pockets that will hold a phone. Had a tough time finding shorts that will hold a phone. I don't want a hot sweaty armband, and I just cannot get used to a Flipbelt. An iPhone Xs will just barely fit in the zippered back waist pocket of these shorts. It does bounce a bit when I first start running but this settles down. I assume either I get used to it or sweat provides just enough friction to stop the movement. Regardless, did not chafe on several 5 mi runs. There are other mesh pockets all along the waistband to hold other smaller items. They are open at the top but I've used them to hold tissues, lip balm, keys, etc without feeling like they might bounce out. Shorts are light and do no ride up on me. Elastic edge of liner is a bit bulky but you can't see it through the shorts and keeps liner in place.

Great pockets & very comfortable

I've been a fan of Oiselle Rogas for a few years. I've always stuck with the "true to measurement size," but find them to fit more comfortably if you size up one size. Sizing up provided me more room for my legs to fly free, and to provides a bit more length on the inseam so the shorts don't ride up while on the move. I suggest sizing up if you have stronger upper legs and butt (like me!) Love the pockets and the mesh around the waistband. My iPhone 8 fits in the back zip pocket. The phone does bounce a little at first but somehow found that it settled down after a few miles.

Where have these shorts been all my life?!

Holy cow. These are incredible. They fit perfectly, they don't ride up, they cover everything but are still short enough to not restrict movement. I never can find shorts that don't squeeze my love handles or show the bottom of my cheeks, until now. These are clearly made by women for women, and it shows. ***I do run with a hip belt because I run with two dogs and one dog is attached to the hip belt, so the pocket in these shorts is a nonissue for me, and I do not know how well it holds keys/phone/cards/etc.***

Great Shorts!

Great shorts to get if you have a wider hip/butt and a smaller waist. It has a drawstring to tighten around the waist and it doesn’t have a ton of extra material that would make it look weird. Plus it’s always nice to have pockets!

The best shorts ever

I got these at Oiselle flagship (REI wasn't carrying them yet). These will be the only shorts I ever buy for running or hiking ever again. In fact, I wear them for errands and casual stuff too because they are cute. They do and are everything. No riding up. Tons of storage...I like to put my iPhone XS in the mesh pocket, where it doesn't bounce when I jog (as it does a bit in the back zippered). I load these babies down and still, they are the most comfortable running shorts ever. Plus, they are incredibly flattering. I don't have particularly attractive rear or legs, but these are so flattering that my friends all ask where I got them. For reference, my natural waist is 29, low hip is 40, I have a small tummy (I've given birth) and wear a 4. The 4 gives me a very very slight muffin top, but I prefer it because they are more flattering to my legs and also jiggle less when I load the pockets down. BUY THESE! You won't regret it.

Perfect all around short

I struggle with having bigger thighs and most shorts ride up and make running uncomfortable.. which leads to just wearing capris even in the heat. I just thought I'd share that these are my favorite shorts (ever) and are flattering, comfortable, and dry quickly.. Great for exercising and just any day. Definitely give them a shot.

Lots of storage, comfortable to wear

I found these in the store while looking for another brand altogether. They're more expensive than I would normally consider, but I had a dividend to cover it, so it was a gift to self. I'm 5'7", 136 lbs and have been running for 15+ years. The medium size fits well. Built-in underwear-lining + zippered key pockets are a must and these shorts have them. The rear zippered pocket is amply sized, and would fit many people's cell phones (but not my huge Moto Z Play Droid, which I don't wish to carry anyway). I sometimes think my key is lost, the back pocket is so wide! The front waistband "cargo net" style pockets (no closure other than a little elastic pressure) would be good for gels, small electronics (I still use an iPod nano, which fits perfectly), maybe keys, other snacks. There is elastic in the waistband, but it's not really a drawstring you can control, so I'm worried the perfect fit the shorts have now will stretch over time and I won't be able to cinch them up. I wear shorts for YEARS. The only real-time complaint I can think of probably very anatomy specific, but there's been very slight chafing in the central nether regions from the built-in lining, and I'm only running 3-4 miles at a time right now post-injury. I worry that a 6-8 mile run would amplify this issue, but maybe there's a break-in period for the liner.
