Super comfortable soft shorts
This is my first Vuori purchase and the fabric comfort lives up to the hype! I read many reviews that recommended sizing up and I wish I hadn’t. Originally bought a medium and returned for a small which is the size I normally wear. I bought the currant Heather color in both and received the small before I could return the medium to the store. Putting them side by side they are different colors as you can see in my attached pictures. That is my only complaint and the only reason I’m not giving 5 stars. One is more orange and the other more pink - I prefer the orange.
Soft, Cute, butt...
These are soft. These are so cute. I sized up like another reviewer. However, these shorts were made for a very specific body type and I am not it. I wore these for a week of day hiking and I hated them-they didn’t stay in place, I was ALWAYS picking wedgies, and because they rode up so much my butt was hanging out. I have an hourglass figure, I wear a size 10 (mostly, because brand sizing sucks), so the Large should have fit. These shorts were definitely made for a straight, athletic build, or slim body type. If that’s you, these will probably fit great (lucky!). If you don’t fit this body type, save yourself a day of wedgies and keep searching. I took them back and told the guy what was wrong with them-and he wrote it all down including my rant about how these shorts weren’t made for any curvy woman.
Fabric vs. Fit
These shorts are made of an insanely comfortable fabric but, on my body, the cut leaves something to be desired. With very square, short legs, they hit my thighs in the wrong place and probably don’t look good enough on me to be something I’d wear out of the house. The size Small is correct for my 5’7” and 125-lb frame, but the verdict is out whether the dreamy feel of the fabric will trump the unflattering feel of the fit. Would I recommend this product to a friend? It depends on the friend. These shorts are cut for a very specific (slender) body type. A woman with any size to her inner thighs is not going to love the very short, square cut of these.
So soft and true to size. You will be spoiled.
The most comfy shorts ever. You will never go back to cut off sweats or running shorts, I promise! I like my shorts to be very short… because I am short waisted and short legged. So I purchased the xs, and I wish I had sized up. In most brands, the smalls are too long and ‘poofy’ giving you that ‘I just jumped in the pool’ look. Not these. They are true to size, and very short. I’m going to buy another pair in small, so I do suggest if you are in between sizes, to go up, unless you like that booty look (and there is nothing wrong with that!) for reference, I am 5’5” and 120-130, with a straight (but not skinny), build. Someone called me ‘slim thick’ the other day, so if that helps lol…
So comfy!
I love these shorts and these are my third pair! The material is incredibly comfortably and I love wearing to lounge around it, to sleep in, to exercise, or for casual wear. I'm 5'3 120 lbs and the XS fit me perfectly. I also have a size S that fits me if I want a little looser fit.
Soft but...
I love this brand and these shorts are so soft but like another reviewer said they are not made for curvy figures. I am 5’3 130 lbs with some curves and these things ride up! I find myself pulling them down frequently, both from the hips and between my legs. I can only wear these lounging around the house, they would never work for actually running or hiking.
Super soft shorts
I've been looking for a pair of shorts that isn't super tight on my thighs and that does not have an underwear liner attached and I'm so glad I found these while scrolling through REI's short section! My husband owns a few Vuori shorts and they are amazing so once I saw the brand I knew I was getting a high quality. I personally bought these for more of a lounge/over a swimsuit short and not so much as a workout short but can see how they would be amazing for that as well! I think I will use them to hike as well! Overall a very versatile short that I am so glad I own!
True Vuori Comfort!
These shorts are just as soft & comfy as you’d expect from Vuori & I love the soft green color. My only minor complaint is they’re really short, which may be fashionable, but isn’t always terribly practical if you want to wear them to do anything like work in the garden.
Pricey but worth it
I don’t even really like shorts but I needed some and chose these. They are fantastic - flattering and comfortable. So soft! I bought one pair and wore them almost all weekend. Went back to REI ASAP to pick up a pair in the other color. Most shorts wad up and look like a diaper on me. Not these, they lay flat and don’t slip down. Not having to constantly hike up my britches is nice. Must have item.
Super soft and cozy!
I just bought these and can tell I will be wearing them tons as the weather gets warmer. They are the perfect length, the material is so soft and has a very flattering drape, and the waist hits me right below my belly button (unlike so many shorts that hit a few inches below the belly button—yuck!), which is perfect. I am 5'8", 150lbs, got a medium, and it's perfect. True to size.
