Super light, super bright, convenient, packable
I bought this light kind of on a whim. I didn't need another light, but this is different from the rest. I love that it is USB rechargeable. It has stayed in my bike bag for a few months, then yesterday on the STP bike ride, my son realized this his had fallen off. I pulled this out and it made a great rear blinking red light. Now that I'll be doing more hiking and trail running, I'll throw this in my trail running pack as a backup. It is a very broad light. Probably more effective at making you visible rather than lighting up the area around you.

Doesn't Last - as Advertised
The light set on constant steady light advertised as 4.5 hrs. At the most when the light was new it lasted 2 hrs. Now it's last 1.5 hrs. I bought this light a couple months ago. I walk 2hrs each morning. It is winter now and possibly the cold has effected the battery. However, don't advertise 4.5 hrs.

Great Blinky OK Constant light

Pros - I got this light as a secondary headlamp for trail running at night. Attached to my vest it throws a nice wide clean beam about 12 feet in front of me. Combined with the headlamp it has lead to less slip and falls than with the headlamp alone. Glad that I got it. -Good blinkies in both white and red. -Recharges faster than other running lights I have. Cons -I cant use it as a primary light even for road running. I bought it as a secondary light source so I am happy with it for that, but if it would throw light just a bit further I could use it as a primary light source. Overall - I like this light and would be happy to buy it again.

Amazing Bright Light!!!

After 2 months of use, words cannot adequately express my love for this light - it is FANTASTIC!!! The 80 lumen setting uses two of the white lights and is bright. I usually use the 160 lumen max setting with all 4 lights and it is SUPER bright! And it clips on the bottom of my shirt upside down no problem. It's so light I don't even notice I'm wearing it when running. Bonus I discovered since I keep it in my bag that's with me all the time: it's very handy to use as a little flashlight! Seems to work for about 1-1.5 hours at max setting, as stated in the specs. Easy to charge via USB. So glad I got the Max model that goes up to 160 lumen - totally worth $35!!

Great for running on streets in the dark

I can verify that it runs for about 4.5 hours on high. It kicked off on me in the middle of my third long run. I was a bit startled by it because the light simply turns off. That's on me for not charging it. One thing I don't understand is why it takes so long to charge. The light it produces is just enough to run safely in the dark. I was excited for this because I didn't want to run with a headlamp. The clip holds it firm on my belt and I'm sure it would work fine on a backpack as well.

Bright, little light!

This light is EXCELLENT! I bought it to use during my nighttime walks home from the train and for walking my dog in the early morning/late night. I did tons of research and it’s exactly what I was looking for! I clip it to my coat pocket and it lights the way (super bright!). I also bought one for my middle schooler and high schooler to keep in their backpacks in case they have to walk home in the dark.

Powerful and versatile

I use this light when I go camping and when I ride my bike. The clip is really sturdy and I trust it when riding hard through the city or walking around the campsite. It is really convenient to have while biking. It has so many different light settings that you use it as a backup if your primary lights run out of juice. Sometimes, I will use my primary lights as flashers and clip this baby to my shirt so I can see potholes, puddles, etc. It is also nice to have around if you have one of those friends who thinks it is okay to ride without lights. Just strap this on their bike when they aren't looking. : ) This light is so darn bright that it can be majorly useful while camping! (Especially if you live in CA and campfires aren't permitted.) You can clip it to your shirt and use it instead of a headlamp, or put it against a water bottle or a surface and it functions as a great makeshift lantern. Rechargeable, no batteries, lasts a long time. I love this light.

Lights up my run!

Works great! Several settings for light patterns; red and white. Bright and very visible. Holds the charge for a long time. Light weight, hangs on my shirt collar when I run. Sweat and water proof. My son literally dropped it in the toilet. Still works fine!

A Genuine Life Saver

The Amphipod Versa-Light Max is a genuine life safer on the dark, snowy streets of Minnesota! I use mine all the time while walking in my neighborhood where there are no sidewalks. I feel that oncoming or approaching traffic cannot miss seeing me. The USB feature is well worth it to make sure the I am always charged and ready to go!

Good enough for trail running

I bought this as an alternative to the UltraSpire waist belt lights which appear to be cheaply made while also being expensive, for trail runs in the dark of winter. It definitely improves the visibility of the contours and rocks on the trail compared to a head lamp, but it needs to be twice as powerful to really run fast over rough terrain or terrain you aren’t familiar with. If you use like I do on trails I run daily all year long it is adequate, otherwise it needs to be supplemented with my headlamp which completely ruins the visibility of the terrain, the whole reason I use this light. So for my use it’s underwhelming, but it is a great little light otherwise and seems well made and about a quarter of the price of the cheap looking but more powerful UltraSpire waist lights.
