Hard wearing

Bought in Nov 2016 and had been my second skin for countless ski days Toured with her across the Alps and have been very respectful of not using her when the snow is too wet Superb insulation and provided you layer-up sensibly you will never get cold(-29 Celcius has been the coldest that she’s helped me out in) I’ve re-proofed her as per the instructions but clothing is never the same after the first wash I now have a problem with the front zip which I hope will be repaired- the waterproofed zip does not like the extreme cold anymore and fails to close properly All in all this jacket is the best value-for-money ski jacket that I have bought

Pow wow!

2 weeks on the mountain, in all kind of weather. Not once was it letting me down. Tumbling down in powder, rain freezing as it hit jacket or a real winter storm. Didn’t matter, the only time I thought about the jacket was when I put it on or taking it off.

Brilliant design and perfect for Australian snow

I debated about either getting a shell jacket or a fully insulated one and decided on this one being somewhere in between. I think this jacket has a perfect balance of offering some warmth without the added bulk of too much insulation. Other things I loved where how the skirt buttons aligned perfectly into my Narrona pants, the position of the lift pass is spot on (most other brands locate the card spot at the forearm) the hand pockets having some polartec fleece and the layout of the other pockets being ideal for the stuff I carry around all day. Above all those things I've mentioned it's also a great fit. I'm so pleased with my purchase.

Great on cold weather!

Great attention to detail. Love the clothe attached to the I inside of the chest pocket. Easy to unzip and zip the arm pit ventilation. Hand extension warmers on the sleeves are perfect. The hood adjust to fit the head perfectly. There is no need for a scarf upon zipping the front zipper all the way up to your chin. I live in Minneapolis Minnesota so this jacket is perfect when experiencing 6+ months of winter temperatures dropping into negatives on a regular basis. Very durable and well-made jacket and I can use it to go out and look stylish or I could use it for cross country skiing hunting and staying warm for any winter sports .

Excellent jacket

Always tricky when spending a lot of money on a ski jacket. But with this jacket I feel it’s money well spent. Jacket is the perfect size, right number of pockets all really well placed, so you can tell someone has spent some time designing this. Jacket is warm when it needs to be and breathable. Colour is bright but not overly bright. Looking forward to many years of use. Only critique would be the main zip can be a bit sticky at times..but a minor flaw for an otherwise perfect jacket.

Good for active lifestyle

I bought this jacket few weeks ago on my way searching for a thin but insulated jacket. During the last weeks I had the chance to wear it under several conditions like frosty temperatures, heavy rain, fog, coastal winds and sunshine on the same day. I used the Lofoten jacket during hiking and biking and had only a Merino base-layer below. The jacket helped me to stay dry warm and enabled me to adjust my temperature according to activity-level by opening the ventilation under the arms. Great. When you’re searching for a great jacket which will be your closest partner during active lifestyles choose this one.

Incredibly Solid Jacket

Had the insulated Lofoten jacket for a few months now and I absolutely love it. The quality of material and overrall versatility of the jacket is phenomenal. Hand gaiters, under-arm vents, and an abundance of pockets on both sides of the jacket make for a perfect combination of utility and comfort that I was looking for. I've primarily used this jacket for skiing, I'm happy to report that in the wildest winds and coldest days I've stayed perfectly toasty. If there was any con to this jacket (if it even is one) I would say on some occasions I've found it to be a tad too warm. However, this could just be my layering. Nonetheless, I would highly recommend the insulated Lofoten jacket.

Love this jacket

I purchased this jacket recently for a snowboarding trip to Zermatt. It is a warm and comfortable jacket and I like the material which is softer then other gore tex jackets I have. The sizes seemed to come up small, so I ordered a Large and it fits me perfectly. My only criticism is the pockets feel like they are too far back and need to be moved More to the front. Other than that I love it

Does everything, well

Bought this 1 month ago and used it for lightweight freeriding. Pitzips are great to regulate temps. Havent had the opportunity to do any extensive touring, but I suspect this jacket would perform remarkably. If you like me have leather gloves that you regularly lather with grease, know that this (obviously) stains any jacket. Great purchase, hopefully a 10-year jacket

Great jacket, a bit large in sizes

I have had several ski/winter jackets. This one seems to be one of the best, equal with my older Gore-Tex North face jacket. Cannot say anything about long-term use though. I have only had the jacket for one month. I love the number of pockets and the bright red colour. Many mens ski jackets come only in dark colours like grey, black or dark blue. I am lucky to have a Norröna store to visit since the size was a bit different than expected. I have always had medium size jackets but Norrönas medium size was a bit to large for me. So I tried the the small size and it fitted me better. I have long arms so I was afraid this would be a problem in a small size jacket but the arm length is perfect for me.
