Fantastic towel/tourniquet!!

While camping recently one of our guys cut himself with a hatchet quite badly, needing a quick tourniquet/blood sponge I grabbed this towel and wrapped it around his leg while we drove him to the ER. After 4 hours in the ER with the towel still in use we finally got him sewn up. The towel looked wrecked and was covered in dried blood. I took it home that night washed it in the machine with Tide and it came out good as new! 5/5 would recommend!

I liked the idea of the aerated carry case with hook but beyond that, the towel doesn’t dry as quickly as stated and is deceivingly paper thin (another reviewer mentioned “eyeglass cleaning cloth”). Micro-fiber towels from the dollar store do a better job in my opinion. I returned and saved the money for better gear.

Amazing towel for travel

I love my Matador bar soap bag and shampoo/conditioner bags. Best ever. So when I saw this towel in store , I had to try it! I have a severe contact allergy to fragrances. This can make traveling a chore. More items have fragrance in them than you think. Therefore, I have to take a lot of things with me. (Pillowcase, bath towel, hand soap, dish soap, etc…) This towel is AMAZING! Lightweight, easy to pack, impressively absorbent, and dries quickly. Awesome problem solver for me. Haven’t used for the beach yet but I think it will be great. Highly recommend!

Great for packing light

Super thin, dries fast and stays odor-free. Bought for a trip to pack light and when I bought it, it came with a silicone carry case but I never use that part as it was too bulky and heavy for travel. I just kept it in a nylon mesh bag when I packed in suitcase. Have used for a couple years now at home after showering and can go a few weeks without washing before any hint of odor (I know, gross but good to know). How I use: after showering, bunch it up and blot dry, then I promptly hang to dry.

Nice lightweight towel

Great lightweight towel. It has pretty good absorbency and dries relatively quickly. The carrying case is a cool addition, but I have not yet tried packing a soaking wet towel into it to see if the perforations help with drying out the towel. I mainly use this as a lightweight towel to take to the pool with me. When washing, the black color seems to leech into the water, but doesn’t seem to bleed onto other garments. (I have the same towel in light blue and didn’t notice any color leeching)

Compromise

Pros: ultra light, large size, fast drying. Cons: saturates with water quickly, barely able to dry off. This is not a towel for use at home, but for those who want to save weight. Need to use it a few times at home before heading out on an adventure so you know what to expect. I am 205lbs and 6ft tall: just barely able to dry all my skin and some of my hair before towel is saturated with water. Since towel fabric is so thin, it feels cold against your skin as you dry yourself with it. Towel dried out after 4hrs in 80F and high humidity. If you don't need to worry about pack weight, look elsewhere, such as the REI Multi Towel Deluxe. Towel comes in a silicone container that probably weighs nearly as much as the towel. Container is open on one side and another side has perforations, but doubtful if the rolled up towel would dry inside the container.

Lightest towel for the trail!

Towel is great! super absorbent, lightweight and was able to use to sit on when I needed something quick. Only thing I didn't like was the weight of the rubber holder it came in. Was too heavy for backpacking. Just ended up stuffing it in the top of my bag.

Not a great towel

Good size but it gets saturated very fast and holds on to the water. Once the towel got wet, it took forever to air dry. It was hanging off my pack when I was thru hiking.

Absorbent, dries quickly, packs lite and small

Big towel in a small package. Dries quickly, absorbent. Have you ever used a towel that just didn't seem to absorb the moisture - this one isn't like that. It's a great purchase.

Was skeptical at first, but its a great pick

I watched a video on towels by Camping Guidance on youtube and chose the Matador nano dry and the pack towels personal body sized towel. I was surprised with how thin the Nanodry was and was skeptical if it would even dry me off so i took a shower and tested it. It is not as soft as the pack towel but it dried me off completely including my hair. I’m fine sacrificing a bit of comfort as its not as plush as the pack towel so the Nanodry in my opinion is the best UL towel.
