My Avalanche Air Bag .
BCA's Float 22L 2.0 airbag is a very reliable avy pack. Designed to fit comfortably and feel good, has the storage capacity for full day trips and delivers performance when your life depends on it. I've deployed a BCA twice. Once being a little over cautious and the other time in dire need. Under 4 secs it fully inflates. The pull handle is easy to grab and designed to eliminate hanging up avoiding unwanted deployments. It feels good on the back hiking and conforms nicely to the body while ripping without it shifting around throwing balance off during speed or critical turns. I use the outer separate stash area for shovel, probe, skins and first aid/repair kit. Keeping the snow out of the main cargo area is nice for back up gloves, hat, goggles, lense, water and food. I like the details of the metal waist buckle and size of the side waist pocket just big enough for lip balm, wax, snack and my multi tool knife. One shoulder strap is home to the pull trigger and other side keeps my hydration line and BCA Link 2.0 radio.
excellent product and customer service
Picked up this pack just before the holidays and I could not be happier with it. The pack is lightweight, easy to use, and perfect for day trips in the backcountry or sidecountry. On the way up, it holds a 32oz nalgene, snacks, helmet, goggles, gloves, snowsaw, BC Link, InReach, and an extra down layer. The way down, skins fit in where the extra layer, gloves, and goggles were without a problem. It is snug, but I haven't had any issues with space. And, I honestly don't realize I'm wearing the pack most of the time, it's that comfortable. I had some technical product questions that I emailed BCA directly about (nothing against REI, just wanted to talk to the manufacturer) and they were quick to respond and help me out. I'll certainly be a BCA customer for life!
Perfect day pack!
This pack is the perfect size backpack to be a day pack while skiing in resort or in the side-country. It easily fits all the essentials for a day in avalanche terrain as well as having a float 2.0 system. This pack is made to send! If you are looking for something with a little more space geared towards bigger missions, I would recommend the 32 L Float pack.
Great Pack!
This is a perfect backpack for a day in the backcountry. The new Float 2.0 system is lighter than ever so it doesn't compromise performance on the way down. As always, BCA crushed it on functional features, and no excess fluff. I love that this pack has a separate compartment to organize avy gear, keeping it easily accessible. The outside pocket also serves as a great place for wet skins. Overall, I love the functionality and performance of this pack!
Great fitting backpack!
I skied with this backpack most of last ski season. I am an average sized girl and I have not found a backpack that fits me better. It is easy to ski with and does not bounce around when in rough terrain. It is a very compact yet it fits everything you would need to the day! I would highly recommend the BCA float 2.0 to any of my friends.
Extremely light pack
I got my BCA float 22 pack this year and love it! It is extremely light and with the new 2.0 canister, everything packs into the same pocket. For day trips, this pack is a must have, it has plenty of room for goggles, layers, gloves, etc. and you will barely notice your wearing it!
Allows you the shred
This bag holds all the essentials while being small enough to really allow you to shred! Great for day treks and side country. Comfy but effective!
