Usual high quality Leatherman product
About the same weight and only slightly larger than the Wave; comes with detachable pocket clip and lanyard ring. Cutting hook is a useful addition

Truly disappointing- Do not buy
Although I wanted to love this tool, bought to replace my SAK Workmaster as it’s sentimental, it has so many glaring problems and quality control issues it’s truly a disappointment. Right out of the box there’s some play between the halves of the multi roll when just slightly opened, and if you tighten the scales to get rid of said play good luck getting the knives out with one hand. This is apparently a common issue, seen all over in reviews and on Reddit. When closing the knife with the flat head bit in the bit holder the pliers will sometimes wedge themselves in between the bit holder and the side of the tool and become unable to close. This is due to the flathead bit not taking up enough space. The bits themselves are very weak, getting stripped from less then 20 screws at my job. The tool is already starting to rust after about 3 weeks despite only coming to work with me in a warehouse and getting oiled and cleaned twice. Still, surface rusting. The grind on the S30v blade is no good. All in all I’m shocked leatherman doesn’t have better QC on one of their most expensive tools.

When you need it, you need it.

Put it on your belt or backpack. Know it’s there. When you need it, you really need it. Saved me lots of times at camp, fishing trips, hunting trips. I have the regular black coated one and the titanium upgrade version; you do feel the weight difference when carrying on you for a long period of time. The blade material from 154 to S30V is not much of an upgrade. Both are a bit soft. Could be a good or bad thing depending on the situation. The other tools are okay. Anywho, without saying/writing much, goes the saying, “jack of all trade, master of none.” Take it as a grain of salt. And yes, the price I paid was worth it.

Best you can get

The date on my Charge TTi is Nov. 2012 so I have been using mine for more than 10 years. I honestly believe the Charge TTi is the best multitool you can get. Yes it's expensive but you get superb quality and Leatherman's 25-year warranty. It is strong and durable and has an excellent set of tools. I carry mine with a bit kit, extender, and sharpener in a case where I can add a ferro rod and other useful tools and I can deal with pretty much any situation. If you're comparing the Charge TTi with the Wave you get some extras, the main thing being the S30V steel blade vs the 420HC steel blade and the titanium scales vs stainless steel scales. You can't go wrong with either one but I will always recommend getting the Charge TTi. It simply does not get any better than this. The additional bit kit is very useful too, I use it more than you might think. A+, highly recommend.

Nothing else even comes close, end of :)

Functionality is AMAZING, ergos also MUCH superior to the Wave. Only other company that comes close to this level of quality is the SWISS tool which you may also want to check out. For me this tool is the PERFECT level of convenience, quality, and ergonomics and YES I know I sound like a commercial, but it REALLY is THAT good. Not sure about people with sub standard lock up and play in the tool, I can tell you mine locks up and feels like a titanium safe. So quality control might be in play here, not sure. There are also mods you can get, I changed out my lrg driver with a titanium awl, but there are other things you can get.

Loose and lacking

I’ll admit this is absolutely a nitpick, but for nearly $200 I think I’m allowed to be. When closed, the two sides of the tool have a pretty good amount of jiggle and an overall loose feeling. I’d save it’s about 1/8” of movement and I felt it immediately. I have a Wave+ which is cheaper and very very similar to the TTi but it’s rock solid. If something like this doesn’t bother you then it’s a great tool otherwise. I just think for the higher price tag you should expect higher build quality. I exchanged mine for another one and had the same problem so I’m going to return it.

Superb Tool

This will be my 3rd charge TTi. They last me about 4 years. I use this tool 30 or 40 times a day. I use and abuse them and they still last better than any other that I've tried.

Amazing multi-tool!

This product is amazing! They really thought of almost everything you could need in those situations when you don't have your toolbox at home. I have read another review complaining about how a small part broke, that's the great thing about Leatheman, they have a lifetime warranty on these. This is the second one we've bought, for different people. My oldest son has one and had an issue with one of the fold out blades after several years of use. He contacted Leatherman and sent it in, they replaced everything but the titanium outers, which they swapped over, so he pretty much received a brand new product. It's worth the extra money to go with the Leatherman brand over some of the lower priced options with limited or no warranty.

Poor Quality

I will take my original Wave over this anyway. The blades and tools on this Charge Tti are flimsy and cheap feeling. Right out of the package (possibly returned and resold), the whole tool rattled, upon further inspection assembly was over tightened on one end, then backed out causing warped knives, saws and files as well as loose fitments. The "titanium handles" warped with gaps between the grib and the tool. Buy something else, this is getting returned.

The Most Versatile Leatherman Yet.

This tool comes fully equipped. However, if you add the available ratchetting bit driver, it makes for complete perfection in a multi-tool.
