Wow! These mittens are fantastic for skiing. They are very warm and best for winter conditions and not spring skiing as they get pretty hot in the spring. The leather is so soft and pliable. Sometimes my kids ask if they can wear them for awhile to warm up their hands. I haven’t ever needed hand warmers in them either. They look really sweet except the white leather has started to yellow. Honestly, I knew that would happen though. I still love them with the yellowing and think they look cute. Great for skiing.
These gloves not only look great, but perform as well. They’ve kept me warm when it gets below 10 degrees, especially this year in Colorado with some colder spurts in the mountains. I’ve enjoyed wearing them while snowboarding, and they’ve kept my hands warm and dry, while still looking good. So far the leather hasn’t worn at all, and is still nice and white. I made sure to put the leather lotion onto them so they didn’t start cracking.
My wife has circulation issues and has always had issues keeping her hands warm skiing. These gloves have finally fixed it so her hands can stay warm during a full day of skiing. The insides are also so amazing soft and plush. I can't imagine a more comfortable glove to put your hands in. Also never seen them get wet inside. All around great gloves.
After suffering from cold hands or having to insert hand warmers in mitts, iI found the marvelous Hestra mitts and am happily warm with them!
Finally received my mittens last night as the first delivery was "lost". Customer support sent another - thank you! They look great and feel nice and I'm sure will be very warm when I use them in a couple of weeks. However, be warned that it is one piece with fixed mitten lining and there is NOT a zipper that exposes an inner fingered lining - that was very disappointing as the picture clearly showed otherwise!!
The gloves are cheap and the customer service is TERRIBLE. They don’t stand behind their products and the rep I spoke with with extremely dismissive and rude. Don’t buy from this company. The leather will turn green and look awful. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.
Hands down the warmest mittens I have ever worn. They are super expensive, but worth every penny! My hands and feet are always cold when temperatures drop below 50 so winters are usually miserable. But not this year! My dog and I went for a two mile hike in the snow with temps around 10 and my hands were so warm I had to take them off, and that was without liner gloves. I highly recommend these mittens!
My hands always get cold while skiing, and these have done the best job of keeping them warm of any mittens I’ve tried, and are very comfortable. The only downside is that the white leather is high maintenance and stained slightly after the first couple wears.
I constantly have cold fingers, and these mittens actually keep my hands warm. Plus the wrist strap is really nice for keeping snow out.
For the price, I was expecting these to keep my hands warm...but they didn't. I recreate in the Sierras, so it's not exactly cold either.
