LOVE my Cotopaxi Fuego, this thing is a beast!

I bought my Cotopaxi Fuego just before my three week hike on the John Muir Trail. Cotopaxi went above and beyond to make sure my coat arrived before I departed. And, this is the BEST down coat I've ever owned. It kept me warm on those chilly nights in the 20s on the trail, packed down into a small, light stuff sack, and was dreamily comfortable, not to mention super cute! I loved the bright green. The medium fit me well, I'm an athletic build, but I can see how this model might be a little tight on the hips of those with with more of an hourglass shape. I know the newer models might be different. And, last, supporting a company that is doing some incredible stuff in the community makes me happy! Cotopaxi customer for life here!

Love the colors but...

I wanted SO badly for this jacket to work because i love the colors! Unfortunately, the jacket has a pretty tight non-adjustable elastic band around the bottom that causes the bottom of the jacket to ride up my hips when i walk (therefore creating a bulge in the belly area and shortening the jacket). I dont have particularly wide hips, so i imagine that this issue would be even more exaggerated for a wide-hipped person. Also, the fabric used for the stripes is quite transparent, so you can actually see the down filler through the fabric. Cotopaxi- please make a version 2.0 of this jacket that addresses these issues, because i loooove the concept of this jacket!

Perfectly packable!

I had thought it was a little late in the season to make the purchase of a down jacket during the summer, but it turned into the perfect camping jacket for Banff! Super lightweight and easily packable even in my tiny Camelback but at the same time it was extremely warm (without overheating during activities like canoeing or hiking) and a lifesaver when the storm rolled through. A little concerned about sizing from the other reviews but it was the XS was the perfect fit over thin fleeces and flannels. Highly recommend!

great look but unsure about quality? small hole in fabric

Fit: i'm 108lbs / 5'3" & got the xs. it was slightly roomy everywhere except the hip. color: granite, wish it was slightly more grey & darker to resemble a true granite Pro: Best colorway I've seen in puffy jackets across all brands. modern looking Con: 1) The color I ended up liking the most had a small hole by one of the arm stitches. decided to keep it since i like this puffy jacket / colorway the best out of all the ones i tried this season & there wasn't another xs i can exchange it out for. slightly questioning the longevity of this jacket. 2) i dont need a hood since i have one from my outer layer. wish they had these fun colorways for the hoodless version too

Amazing jacket

I love this jacket! It is thin and lightweight. I ordered the XS which fit perfectly everywhere but the hips. It looked super flattering unzipped. So I ordered a Small which fits fine in the hips but still a bit tight. I am not a hippy person. Walked on a cold windy beach with the hood up and was perfect. I wore it yesterday with wind chill of 33F and just had a light sweatshirt underneath and was not cold. I am 5'6 and 118 lbs.

Love it so much...favorite jacket of all time

I wasn’t quite sure about the color of this jacket but I was so pleasantly surprised at the vibrance of the green as well as the fit. I have received so many compliments about this jacket and it is so comfortable, I could wear it all day long in most weather conditions. It is my favorite jacket of all time. I’m 5’1” and athletic build. The medium is perfect for me. Thank you Cotopaxi!!

love it!

I love this jacket. The colors make it stand out from all the other mid-weight jackets around town. The cut it perfect for me. I’m 5’9”, broad shoulders, long arms and torso, small chest. Most jackets look boxy on me or end up short in torso and arm length. Not this jacket. Medium fits like a glove!

Great Jacket- wear it all the time!

I got the bright coral and pink and I couldn't be more pleased! I am 5'6'' and 125lbs wider shoulders than hips. I got a medium and can wear a sweater under and even with t-shirt fit feels right. I love puffies in general and have tried A L O T. I like the warmth and windbreaking water resisting qualities of this one. The soft lined pockets are ++ it is very light and compressible in the included pouch. It feels durable, at first I was a little worried that the jacket was too noisy when I moved but it way less now that I have been wearing it. The feathers subtly show through the lighter color. I wear it for hiking and around town. I wear it every chance I get and often take it along just incase...

I love this jacket!

I’m absolutely in love with this jacket. It is very light weight and comfortable and the fit is really flattering as it is not boxy at all. I ordered a size down (Medium and I’m 5’5” and currently 160 lb) as I’m in the process of getting my pre kid body back and while I couldn’t currentlynwear it over a heavy sweater or sweatshirt it fits great with a long sleeve t shirt underneath. I’m long waisted so I appreciate that it has a little extra length. The red/pink color is so pretty I love the flattering profile. I have a feeling this will be my go to jacket for the rest of the winter.

Warmth!

This bad boy keeps me so warm!! I've even tested it when it was drizzling and stayed dry! My only complaint is it's a little tight on the bottom so it likes to crawl up. I'm 115lbs 5'7" so I don't have much and it still feels tight. But it's so pretty!!
