Insulted boot for the win!

Truly a runnable insulate boot. Lightweight, almost bouncy in the snow. Remember it’s not heavily insulated so don’t expect this boot to perform if your stationary on a 8dF or colder day. I enjoy it for running to the sled hill equally as much as getting work done on a cold day outside to hiking on a January MN day. I wear a 12 and have a narrow long foot - fits well compared to a Nike 12.5US or Hoka 45EU. Foot bed feels comfortable and the fluff or inner edge of the upper is inviting and keeps foot/ankle warm and agile. Traction provides confidence an nearly any but ice. Mates well with Trax over boot traction spikes for total winter dominance.

Decent boots but are missing for hiking. Tight lacing around the ankle makes boots rub on ankle. This creates and opening on top that lets snow and water in. Even in shallow snow. Must wear gaiters to hike in anything over 4”. Fit good comfortable otherwise the ankle rub. Good for walking short walks on packed trails or walking dog on the road warm as long as snow doesn’t get wet. I’m an avid Solomon wearer and a bit disappointed with these.

Great boot except the top lacing points

I just got this today. Love the look, the fit (half sized up) and sturdiness. The problem is the upper lacing over the ankle. It digs in...if you have ever had debris wedged between your tongue and sock that what it feels like. I don't think it's a break in thing. Like I said everything else about it rocks! I have noticed all my other boots the outer material seems to enclose over the tongue when being tightened, bridging or supporting the laces away from the ankle.

This is my second pair of Solomon boots I have purchased. I like that the are comfortable straight out the box. Nice fit and hopefully get alot of mileage out of them.

Just got these to replace my old winter hiking boots. I'm normally a men's size 9 US and for these I went a whole size up, size 10 US, so that I could wear comfortably with a thick wool sock. Unfortunately they are just way too narrow in the toe area. I'm not certain that I can hike comfortably in these for long periods of time and going up an additional size won't do anything for me as far as the width of the toe box. Salomon has things to learn from other companies that have really given great attention to a comfortable fit, especially in that toe box area.

I bought these after realizing last winter when my feet froze I needed a serious update. I have always loved their CrossFit shoes so I decided to give these a shot. These boots have been absolutely amazing. Not only are they extremely light and warm when I stepped through some ice and feel into water my feet stayed completely dry and warm. Where as my jeans where completely frozen. I highly recommend these boots from taking the kids sledding to hiking and Camping to what ever else you need happy warm feet for.

I’ve been wearing these for work (mechanic/metal fabrication) and they have been holding up great so far. I’ve had them for about 2 months now and they show no signs of wear. They constantly get showered in sparks from welding and cutting. I’m very impressed with the quality, comfort, and support of these shoes. I previously had a different brand shoe in the same price range start coming apart after 2 weeks of the same type of use. Needless to say I will be buying these again when the time comes!
