don’t buy unless...
You have a truly enormous dome. I got the small and it is larger than other XL hats I’ve tried on. The large must actually be designed to fit over a basketball. I was truly baffled at the size and what sort of mutant it was intended for. And now I have to go through the annoyance of returning. Patagonia, this one is a MISS!
Honey I shrunk my head
I love the style of this hat but you need to have a Jimmy Neutron sized head to fit in it. The S is still too big for me and I'm not a small guy (maybe I just have a pea head). I was really disappointed that there was not a smaller size option. I haven't taken the tags off yet because I'm deciding if the hat's "steeze" out weighs the imperfect fit.
Sized way too big, but still love it
I was lucky enough to try it on in the store. Normally I'm a large in hats but the small is even a little roomy. I have the small and love it, but you have to know that going in It's the kind of hat that gets comments and it's not for everyone, but if it's your style, get the right size and make it work.
Toasty on cold days
This hat is perfect for cold weather. It keeps my ears warm, but I can flip the flaps up when I get inside. The size chart worked like a charm and it has a little bit of room so it isn’t uncomfortable. Since it was shipped the bill was a little bit bent but it goes back into place easily.
Great hat, but doesnt fit me
Other reviewers claim that the small size of this hat should actually be XL. they are exaggerating and being dramatic. My head circumference is right between L and XL on the size chart, and the Small hat is actually too small. Shouldn't be surprised, but I was hopeful after reading reviews. It might fit well if you typically wear medium hats. Otherwise great product, hoping I can find a L/XL one some time.
Winter hat
This winter weather hat works great. As it hugs the ears and holds the head so you don’t feel any wind or snow.
Great compliments
Everyone that saw me wearing this had nothing but good things to say!
Nice winter hat.
Bought this over the outdoor research yukon cap because the ear flaps hang down a little lower and cover my ears better. The string on the flaps may not be the most stylish but I think it will help a lot if its windy. I plan to add a quick-close draw string clamp to it instead of tying a knot. Ear flaps are warm. The top of the cap seems insulated less than the ears but I think that's about what you want. I expect to use this hat often.
Cap full of warmth
The design is very adequate to keep the head warm. I bought it before a flight to Tennessee and the 31 degree weather did not faze the tropical warmth I felt thanks to this call.
