Poor quality control for high price
The foam around the eyepiece is laughably off so bad that the goggles sit sideways on the face. Not sure how that was missed. This is the second pair of smith goggles I have purchased in my search for new ski goggles. Both have had glaring quality control issues. I would not recommend these goggles, especially considering the price.
Good
Both of my kids wear the grom. These goggles have a good fit and look good. They do occasionally fog up, time will tell if this is a defect or just an occasional annoyance. We are teaching them to be very careful with their goggles but these lenses to scratch pretty easily. So just be careful. Overall, I like smith and would buy the goggles again.
The fit for my 7
The fit for my 7 year old son is slightly too big. There is a small air gap around the crown of his nose. He says they feel nice against his face and the clarity is really, really good. Overall, for kids, they are a solid choice. Hoping he will grow into them soon. Wish I had nice gear like that when I was his age. :joy:
Great for my 8 year old
Purchased for my 8 year old daughter. She had zero complaints and could see better this year in the bright sun. Fit her face well. No fog. Feel good. Vision good.
Stowe is great, for is
Stowe is great, for is nice but lenses started to scratch after day 1. Such a bummer.
Great option
My son had an inexpensive pair to see if he liked skiing. He LOVES to ski so we upgraded to these and they work great!
Great on trails!
Kids loved the colors and they helped so much with the glare from the snow. Highly recommend
Great goggles for my groms
Ages 6 and 9, both very tall for their age, and the goggles fit well. Even with wearing masks all the time, the goggle are pretty resistant to fogging and the "Everyday Red" works well in a variety of light/weather conditions skiing in the Adirondacks. I cracked one of the lenses and smith honored the warranty very quickly and easily - thanks for the great customer service.
I bought these for my
I bought these for my 6 year old daughter and she likes them. The part of the goggles that rest on the face has a larger shape than the frame which prevents a seamless fit with a helmet. The adult goggles are different and I can get a great fit between helmet and goggles. I wish the kiddo goggles were similar to allow for no gaps.
Realizing my kids were skiing
Realizing my kids were skiing 50+ days per season I figured it was time to upgrade to real goggles. We tested a bunch and these were by far the most comfortable, cool and widest spectrum. A lens that protects their eyes on bright days and they can still see on the low cloud/flat light days. Winners right here!!!
