Metal piece does not hold in place
You have to manually hold the metal piece inside of the green guiding housing otherwise it falls right out. Huge pain to use, would not recommend.
Look for something else
Normally I am a fan of Dakine products. But this one is dude. Though it is cheap - it is pretty much unusable. The main problem is that file is not securely held in place. So during sharpening you would need to not only keep tuner flat agains ski base, but also use your fingers to prevent file from falling out. Do yourself a favor and spend $50 to buy edge Swix tuner ( that REI caries) that has know to hold file in place
works great with a small exception
works great with the exception of the file not being fixed in position, so it can slip out while using it. But really, you're applying enough pressure that it stays in most of the time. some glue could also easily fix that. works great for deburring and minor edge tune up
Quick, simple and affordable edge sharpener
A "decent" way to simply, quickly and affordably sharpen edges in need some improvement without visiting a shop, or even needing a bench.
