Best tights I've ever owned
I originally bought these for a trip to the Tetons and they did not disappoint. They've since endured many, many long days in the alpine without sagging or stretching even after miles of climbing and running. They're a bit warm for summer, but can be worn year-round. I wear them for all my big days in the mountains, to the gym, and as a baselayer in the winter. The only complaint is that they started fraying pretty much immediately. The seams are coming apart now, the bottom fold of fabric has come unglued, and they have pilled. The longevity is quite disappointing being as I've only had them a year, but I love them anyway.
Perfect fit and warmth
I've taken these out on a few runs now and they really perform well. The material is comfortable and high quality and the drawstring prevents them from falling down while running which is something that annoys me about so many pairs of leggings. Last night I wore these while running in 21 degree weather and they really did keep my legs at a very comfortable running temperature. I'm tall (5'9", 140 lbs, bought a medium) so these fall right above my ankle which I was concerned would be an issue with the cold but it hasn't. Even though the leggings are warm, they aren't HOT like wearing a pair of base layers, the material is very stretchy and light. I highly recommend these leggings to anyone who runs in cold temperatures regularly!
Poor seams and not so warm
I bought the Peak Mission tights based on positive reviews at the same time as I bought tights made by two different manufacturers. Love the other two tights, but returned the Patagonias. The Peak Missions were the least warm and comfortable of all 3 pair and also less warm than my older Patagonia tights, which were not specifically intended for colder weather. Moreover, after only 3 wears, the center seam began to come apart. I am generally a happy Patagonia customer, so the substandard quality of these tights was a surprise and a disappointment. Would not recommend.
Run your heart out
I enjoy running in these pants immensely. The weight is perfect, good for drizzly cold weather or warmer spring time run, like an all season tire. Awesome quality and fit too. Length is on the shorter side, which for myself at 5'1" is terrific. However, if you're looking for a longer pant and you're tall, they may not be your jam. I reckon a 28" inseam. I'll get another pair when they are available again next year. Training for a marathon currently and I can't wait to wear them on the bit run. Nicely done Patagonia, these runners are spot on!
Quality good. Size rediculous.
I didn't even try to put these on, they are the smallest size medium leggings I have ever seen. I own other Patagonia leggings in medium and they fit great, but these looked like children's leggings. I also dont understand the 27 inch inseam, thats a petite length. If the purpose of these is to keep warm, why would the average person want their ankles and a portion of their lower leg exposed? Sometimes patagonia baffles me with their design choices. These are going back. Just a note...quality appears good.
Awesome Winter Tights
I have been looking for a great pair of winter tights for a while, and these are what I’ve been searching for! I live in Southeast Alaska, which means a variety of winter conditions and wanted something for running, fat biking, and xc-skiing. These fit the bill, not too thin - warm enough without being too hot or heavy. They were pretty true to size for me. I’m usually a medium or an 8, and the medium fits perfect.
Seams come undone
I love how these tights feel and perform. The keep you warm and cools some how. Given that I’m sad that the seams have come undone on my second par now:( I don’t recommend taking them on any sort of serious adventure for this reason. Both times the thread in the top of my thigh cane undone to expose my skin after wearing knee or twice. In addition the seam ing the waist is started to unravel. Wish they would remake with this fabric using better seams!
Great running tights
I read a couple reviews online for these and tried them on in store and really liked them. First run was a success and these were extremely comfortable, good quality, and warm. I am 5'2", 123 lbs, and the XS fit snugly in store, but I didn't want to feel too pressed, and the small fit just right so I went with that (maybe a little long at the bottom but not noticeable). Both colors are really nice in person but black just goes with more of my other clothing items.
Good winter running tights
I like these tights! They are very tight and don't fall down at all when I run. I also like the zippered pocket on the waistband. I'm 5'3" and the length is PERFECT! They hit right at my ankles. The things I don't like about these tights are that they could use a little extra fleece on the upper front thigh (my quads get very cold while the rest of my legs are warm) and side pockets for kleenex, phone, snacks, etc.
buy multiple pairs!
I have bought many pairs of these over the last few years. I run every day and this is the only pair of leggings that have worked for me. I find them to be high quality and breathable and warm enough for colder PNW days. I have never had a problem with the seams as other reviewers have suggested. They fit true to size.
