Ridiculously small!

I'm 5'2" and maybe 120 lbs. My hips measure to roughly 34 inches. I comfortable wear a size 2 jeans from American Eagle. I ordered these pants in xs since they said they correlate to a size 2 (I didn't originally measure my hips because I wasn't that concerned). Jump forward to the pants arriving- they're super cute! They feel like great, quality material. I try to put them on, and they won't budge more than halfway up my thighs. I come back to check the site and see the hip measurement listed as 34.5"-35.5" for the xs pants. I measure the actual pants around the waist band: 28". These don't run a little small. These run 6" small! I really want to reorder these in the right size for my camping trip but am not even sure what size to go with when they're this far off. I suppose I'll order a small and a medium and return whichever of those doesn't fit. Sizing seems like the easiest thing to get right. Wish women's pants sized by hips/inseam like men's pants. Not only do we not get reasonable pockets, but we don't get pant sizes that stay consistent between brands. Major face palm. Hoping getting these pants in *a size that fits* makes them worth this effort. They really do feel like nice pants.

The coveted "perfect fit"

I am 5'3" and 140 pounds, sort of athletic build. I'm used to pants being too long for me, but to my surprise they fit like a glove. I actually reread the tag to double check if they were petite-sized. The fabric feels pretty sturdy, but stretchy like the average outdoor/hiking pant, and the stretchier legging type panel in the calf area allows for the more fitted "jogger" silhouette. I can easily do a deep squat in them. The rise is about where a "high rise" jean would hit me, which is perfect. Love the TWO zipper pockets as well. I'm glad I impulsively bought these.

Zero discomfort

A little hard to get over my hips but once that they are on, holy cow they are so comfortable. No crotch seam digging into you like every single other pants I buy! Totally crazy how comfortable they are. I slept in them that is how comfortable. And I usually can't stand to wear pants to bed! I'm on the website just to find more colors. Purchased in store in a week ago. *For reference I am 5'6" 110lbs and purchased a size S in black

Cut like vintage jodhpurs: way oversized thighs

The fabric seems high-quality and the overall fit was true to size. The waistband needs to be stretched to go past your hips, but that helps it stay on at your waist. For me the dealbreaker was the cut of the thighs, which were so oversized that the pants seemed derived from 1930s jodhpurs. I know joggers have larger thighs relative to the calves, but the difference between these two areas on these pants was well beyond any possible natural difference in body size. Returning...

Way too small

I ordered a S. Everything else I ordered in a S fits fine. I could hardly pull these up because the waistband could barely get past my hips.

Weirdest sizing

I am a true xs, and usually everything from columbia fits big on me. So I figured this pant, with fits small reviews, would be perfect for me. I couldn't have been more wrong. It does not go above my mid thigh, I started to look for bottons or zipper because how can a pant with no stretch not have it... Sadly there is nothing to open in order for me to pull the pants up. This pants have mixed material, so legs are like leggings and waist area are the waterproof non-stretchy material. I am paying the return postage to return these pants.

Not a fan

I read the other review that these can be somewhat tight, so I ordered up and they were still odd fitting. They folded weird around the crotch and were really just overall unflattering. The fabric was thick and hot and not like any other jogger.

Comfy, and moves well with the body

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased these in a wine color and they are so pretty. Like other reviewers have said, they run a little small. I am usually a 4 or S in Columbia pants and it was hard to get these over my hips in a size small... and I’m not even pear shaped, and I have a small booty. There is oddly little give in the waist band but plenty of give in the actual pant fabric. The stretch in the pant fabric moves really well with the body and has plenty of give while you climb hills. If you are looking for more of a traditional looser jogger feel, or you have booty or a pear shaped body I would definitely size up. I kept the smalls, because once I’m in them, they are perfect... just might make going to the bathroom on and off trail a little more interesting... For reference: 5’4” 120-125lbs Size small purchased

Good lounging pants but not for activewear

I wanted to love these pants but they were uncomfortable. The right pant leg in the calf area was too tight. The fabric seemed too stiff for active adventures.
